I started to type this a little while ago. I thought well..........

Saw it again. Big suggestion. Don't take your Wife to an auction for anything. Never saw more people f_ck up a good thing. Girlfriends are fine. They don't know anything, and they just get more sh_t for being...well nice.

Barrett Jackson has become like a running joke. A bunch of melancholic hicks outdoing themselves over an old Mustang. As pointless as it gets.

Well, we just got back from a week out in AZ. We hit BJ, RS, RM, and the Gooding auctions and had a ball. Saw a lot of cars, some to be posted later, and had as much fun watching the people as watching the cars. Another car related event checked off my list of things to do.

Yeah, and somehow SpeedTV managed to cram 30 hours of televised coverage into a 24 hour day!

In the same way they manage to cram 30 hours of NASCRAP into a 24 hour day.

I'm just happy about "Legenda e passione", which was somewhat of a counterbalance to the Barrett Jackson nonsense.

Sadly that'll probably remain a one off on Speed. I was talking with the family of the director/producer of that show over the weekend and it doesn't look likely they're gonna do another Speed show this year. Although the auction is already scheduled for May.

Yeah Nice car, what did that end up going for? Frustrated myself with the lack of Ferrari's, and other cars.

Come on guys you know these auctions are primarily muscle cars. However, BJ did have a few Ferraris and Lambos, including one of the most famous? Ferraris - the Pasta Maker from Monster Garage. It sold for a steal at only $18,500.

Russo Steele had a larger number of both, 4 lambos, and approx. 10 Ferraris, along with several at R&M and the Gooding auctions. You want to see nice Exotics then head over to Monterey in Aug.

As far as what I brought back, too early to tell, maybe something. Stay tuned.

In that case try to get "Victory by Design". Alain drives a bunch of Ferraris. It is fantastic footage.

Oh believe me, I've seen in numerous times. I like how they let the car produce the soundtrack. I love the fact that you can actually hear the switchgear movements!

    Fantastic!

Again, Alain is my hero. Could you imagine having assigments like that? Sheesh, to dream! :)

Sadly, BJ and NASCAR will likely be around for awhile as those two things bring in as much ad revenue to SPEED as all their other programming combined.
