Hey guys, looked through issue 55 of Octane Magazine a while ago and there was a blurb in there about a custom car maker that made a one-off car inspired by
classic Italian cars from the 50s. There is a picture of the car and it looks a lot like a vintage Testa Rossa. I can't for the life of me remember the builder and I don't have the issue. Anyone have the name of the manufacturer ? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Dave, that is a cool looking car, but I think the one I saw was made in the U.S. by a custom coach builder.

Interesting. Is the engine a modified carb BMW M70 V12?

    Dave:

That is the correct car from the creative workshop. Thank you very much for the reply, I appreciate it.

Even better, IMO, was the Ferrari-engined, cycle-fendered hotrod on the cover of AutoWeek a few years ago. Anyone remmeber that one? Wish I'd saved that issue of AW but I'm already buried in car mags even though I gave away 40 years of R&T and CandD.

I don't have the details to hand, but recall that it was 550-powered, and built by Steve Moal in Oakland.....it lived next door to Patrick Ottis's shop in Berkeley.
Maybe Brian (Motob) will say more.....
