It will fall through as the local regulators won't let it go through let alone the EEC.

Still, this is probably something like the true value as Rio's been pretty cheap for a while now.

Fall out still being felt over here, and getting worse. Only two Lenders in the 'non conforming' game, one virtually stopped lending and the other started to look at ways of NOT do a deal. Apart from that yesterdays Auckalnd fun run was great, 308, 328, mondial, 355, 360, 430, 330 and an ultra rare 365 GTC/4 (I think!), goes with the the owners Enzo and Daytona!

Time to ressurect this thread - after 11 ( or is it 12) down days in the market.
ASX today down 6.25% as I write this, close to 10% down in 2 days this week - anyone care to speculate on what will happen to-morrow ?
A friend mentioned over lunch that his super is down 500k since the November high's , and he will now need to put off his retirement a few more years.

A common theme. Apparently most self managed funds have the vast majority of funds in the stockmarket. A lot of people on the verge of retirement will be devastated at the moment.

    ^^ big numbers there

i am, relatively speaking, dealing with toy money amounts so it looks crap on paper but hardly devastating. no loss till you sell anyway.

its surely getting towards a good time to buy. Mac Bank at ~$58 and BHP ~$31.50

How much further can it tumble before we at least get a bit of steadiness!?
