Me too. Still hurting, but only if I sell. I'm new at this game and only bought a few a week ago. Typical uneducated new kid o the block. Thought, gees the banks never loose buy buy buy. Not looking good today, but I am sure they will recover.

 

Spot on Karen, also know some people close to retirement age that borrowed money to put in to super before June 30, 2007 to take advantage of last years "one off" tax break. They would not be happy, no doubt many were probably advised by their accountant to do this as a smart move.
Oh, and on a humorous note, last weekend I had a real estate agent tell me straight faced that residential property was now a safe haven because the stock market was falling.

interesting reading since this was dated sept 07 , stock has dipped since, and so has the PE , funny that . looking at table one indicates that a PE in the low teens is a bargain. look , i don't give a **** what happens , if you set things up right at the start , with a business plan , then there are no issues . if you get in cause your mate at the pub heard that his brothers girlfriends uncle lived beside a financial planner who said it was time to get in for a quick buck , then that's like listening to the punter at the track who says what horse he is backing and why it will win , and following him , that's probable failure.

I think in the current enviroment we shouldn't attack anyone. I personaly don't like to see anyone loose money. Like you Scud I haven't borrowed money so its no major drama at this time. Some people obviously have and I only hope that they get through.
