I understand that there is a propensity to look at Ferraris and think of their value/expenses. It gets a little old at times though doesn't it? People can be caught up in materialsm though can't they? So even though there is certainly a certain amount of jest involved. As a counter to the other thread located here I thought that I'd offer this observation.

The love that I have for my wife and family is incomparably deeper and richer. All that much better that they love me right back.

I love Ferraris also. Just think about the term "pleasure drive". Alas, they don't love me back. Plenty of great memories and emotions and the promise of more good times together. But no love.

    So there you have it.

The women (I have three daughters) win it in a landslide.

Same here. The wife and three daughters win it by a mile! I can also tell you that driving the cheaper roadster gets me more smiles per mile than the Ferrari, but I don't think I'll ever go Ferrari-less unless the economy demands it!

I'm single. Gotta vote 'Ferrari' for now. ;)

Kind of peculiar, though, comparing cars to people (?) After all, why did St. Enzo stick a passenger seat in his cars?

Let's see...the first wife changed her mind and kept my house....

The fiancee just changed her mind and "needs some time and space"....

You are right, my two girls love their dad and always will, I love them too.
    Same for Scott, my son..

    The Ferraris??

They are just a car, finicky and delicate, but stylish and fast........

I wouldn't miss them much, if they were stolen overnight.

Absolutely right, Bullfighter...Lady Valeria or the New Draft Choice has an obvious role to play, as map reader and cupholder! LOL!

Seriously now, wtf is in the Texas water right now?

My roommate was engaged and re-engaged and finally kicked her to the curb when she started having doubts again. His brothers engagement fell apart. Our friends engagement just ended. And I keep hearing other stories of the same thing.

I guess better than a divorce, but serioulsy wtf! It's almost funny.

After serious research I have narrowed it down to occupational and financial stress, family entanglements, lack of proper diet, and sleep, which leads directly to hormonal deficiencies and resultant irrational behavior! LOL!

The effects of man hating single friends that will go the grave before finding a good man, cannot be overstated also.....

So it's most likely not the water at all!

I had to really study up on that...I'm taking on Weber carbs, next.....:D :D :D

I've never been angry at my Ferrari
I've never had to replace an ECU on my wife

The Ferrari won't cook me dinner
    The wife headers can't crack

They cost about the same and both turn me on. If you force me to pick, I'll take the dog!
J/K..of course I'll keep her but I'll be grumpy.

It can also be as simple as that those are not the right women for yall? Although the women choose us not vice versa, we have only a small part to play in the scheme of thing's.

I'm not in a good women mood at the moment. Right now the only thought I can muster is "Women -- can't live with'em; can't kill them." (Unless you live in Texas, I guess.)

Cars, yeah the Ferrari is a keeper (for now). I get immense pleasure from it, it's a joy to look at, to touch, to be with. But it's hard to cuddle up with. The kids are great, but their grown, up and out, and all I've got at home are the sports cars.

I'm beginning to think that Howard Stern had the right idea a few years back: http://www.realdoll.com/

But then, again, he ended up with a real, live super-model, so I guess the real doll ain't the answer either. LOL

So, since I already have the cars I want, if anyone has a nice late-40s/early 50s, attractive, single, stable, nice, intelligent, affectionate and loyal female floating around who is looking for a great guy, send her my way. ;-)

I think we'll have to 'settle' for 2 x 25 year olds! LOL!

Gotta agree... I've been single my whole life, and never wanted to get married enough to give up my freedom for all the other things I wanted to do (that I probably wouldn't if married), including early retirement!! Met a couple that had possibilities, but timing never right. It's a tradeoff, but for me, I want to do what I want, the way I want, buy what I want, not take the risk of feeling I'm stuck, alimony, etc. etc. .. "Hey, fiddle-de-deee, a bachelor's life for me!" It actually applies to me, even if I didn't just buy a 348!

I'm single too. The Ferrari(s) and all the other toys in my life are nice. However, with the right women, I could give everything up and be a little sad about the toys. In the end, people (the right ones) are worth more than toys. Now if the right women doesn't come along in my life, then I'll just be happy and single with my Ferrari(s).
