I also heard about this protest. But I thought conformity was the reason for not banning together for the issue.

Oh, I like the part about "lives on benefits" (which I assume means welfare) and plan to start a family.

You know, when one goes out of their way to piss off the squares, one has to live with the consequences. I'm always amused by 'non-conformitists' who are upset at not being accepted by society.

I would have done the same thing. Dogs are what you normally see on a leash, thus....

    +1 for the driver.

I'm amused at the majority of non-conformists. They shun conformity by running to long established groups that enforce their own particular brand of conformity. Real non-conformists live alone in single bedroom cabins and write long Manifestos on Industrial Society and Its Future, not by washing hair in black shoe polish, writing bad poetry and crying in their socks everyday.

People please... You can't be serious. To deny someone public transportation because you don't like their looks? Think about it. Perhaps if he just makes them sit in the back of the bus. Oh, never mind. That was tried before and didn't fly.

The primary difference is genuine racism versus a couple of teens that have a vanishingly small image of self worth and the attendant issues of puberty that 99% of the populace manage to get through without having to inflict their perpetual grief/sadness/inability to be understood/non-conformity on other people.

There is no comparison between Rosa Parks and two idiot teens that were denied transport. Rosa Parks' defiance helped lead the country to the realization that deep racial issues must be brought to light, no matter the personal cost. Rosa Parks is part of the civil rights movement that ultimately lead to the end of racial segregation in America.

These two morons are just people with low self image and didn't get enough quality tit time looking for attention, and *gasp* finding attention on the webitubes.

Exactly! There are standards, and standards are just fine. As some others have said, they have chosen to not fit in, and thus they should not be surprised when they are not wanted. We should be a society of reasonable conformity, the only way to create a cohesive society.

Is it just me or does anyone else think she would be great in the sack?

This is what happens when go out of your way to defy the norm. If she weren’t on a leash then there would not have been a problem. It wasn’t their dress that got them denied it was their accessories.

Maybe we don't get it. What if... their accessories are like the breeding conformist wedding rings and they find those offensive! We're not thinking about their issues!

I think you guys are 'missing the bus' here....the only thing the bus driver should be concerned about is the passenger's ability to pay the fare, not what they LOOK LIKE. You pay the bus fare? You get a seat - period. Payment Made = Services Rendered. What Self-appointed 'Moral Authority' does a bus driver have to decide who can ride and who can't??? I wasn't aware that was part of his job description....or ANY bus drivers' job description for that matter. The object of a successful business is to make money, not impose your personal values on society - that's what CHURCHES are for, not public transportation.

Not that I am defending anyone but to add fuel to the fire…

The bus driver also has the right to ask anyone with any sort of garment that is considered to be provoking or revealing not on the bus. He also has to insure the safety of the people on the buss, how is he to know that the chain wasn’t going to be used as a weapon to choke or lash his dog if it started to miss behave while in the bus? Or the old woman sitting next to them that won’t stop staring?
