    Dear Comrade Effortyists,

For those who do not already possess one and would like to avail themselves of the opportunity to acquire one, I can confirm that the F-40 workshop manual is available from Ferrari. The price is: £184.10 (circa $360.00) this price does not include post and packing.

    Dear Comrade Stradman,

I haven't received mine yet. However, I am hopeful that it will show schematic drawings enabling me to perform the servicing myself - cam belt changes, camshaft oil seals and that sort of thing. No doubt it will provide explicit details on removing the engine and gearbox. All I shall need to do then is learn how to drive it properly and to this end I have acquired 'L' plates which I've fitted to the rear only - yes, I really have :)

All the foregoing notwithstanding, I just enjoy collecting F-40 ephemera - old magazines of the period with road tests and that sort of thing. I have quite a collection. (Have you read the Motor Sport road test of last year by Andrew Frankel? . . . . Let me know if you haven't and I shall endeavour to acquire a copy for you).

I'll let you know what I think of the F-40 Manual when it arrives.

    With kind regards,

    512 Tea Are
