I called Farmers who we have a condo in Cali insured with...they said no too!!! I got a quote of 2600 with Hagerty...which is more than I pay for The Porsche, a new Mini, a new Pathfinder and our home!!!!!

WTF dude? I just got mine insurance going... $45/month through Farmers! No problems at all.
But I also have a clean record.

You must have some serious tickets if they won't touch you!!!

I too was with Nationwide when I purchased my first Ferrai 4 years ago-they laughed at me. AIG has done a great job for me-they are incredibly reasonable. I pay $1,600 per year for my 2003 360 Spyder with full coverage with a $1,000 deductable. Granted I have a clean record and am 45 years old. AIG will get it done.

I'm with State Farm and every time I get a new bill it's lower than the last. :) I like these guys, I'm at around $1,100 per year on my CS. My home and other cars are with them as well.

Have had my sports cars insured with Leland-West. They are a little picky, but prices are reasonable.

Try Allstate...just put some of the fleet, including the 360, on w/them and saved a ton of money. I called their 800# in the yellow-pages! My independent agent didn't do too much for me...but I had an ins# later that nite after I called a-state gave them a cc#,they sent me an e-mail and I printed it out.Boom goes the dynamite, covered.
I wonder how much it depends what state you live in? Some of those co's you mentioned couldn't deal w/ me in NC,driving rec ok,but other guys in other states said''oh yeah'' gieco/havertys etc gave me a good deal...curious.
    best wishes,RE

State Farm or Allstate is the best IMO. I am in insurance just large commercial and I go thru Allstate. They have to also write your home but amazingly low premiums. My 430 with new car replacement full coverage was only $600 every six months with one speeding ticket. Premiums will be based on your age, record, location and credit worthiness.

Try esurance too. I really like them. Very freindly service and you can customize your policy online by adding various coverage options and seeing how it affects your premium.

Esurance won't touch Ferrari's. Why on earth did you not fight those tickets back when you got them?

I could not get insurance through Travelers for my Lambo. I've been a customer for almost 10 years
and have a perfect driving record. I am using: www.classicins.com

They write classics and exotics only. They only write stated value policies with usage and mileage
    restrictions and it isn't cheap.
1K miles/YR at $2400.00 or 3K miles a year at $3k. It was the only company I could find that would just write this car.

    Good Luck!

Believe me I have shopped around. The insurance that covers my daily cars, house, etc won't cover exotics at all. Hagerty is always almost double what L-W quotes. My agent has looked into alternatives, but they have not come up with anything thus far. I really wouldn't mind an alternative.

Yes, Hagerty was great with my 1970 Jaguar E-type but was very expensive for my 2006 F430. I insure most of my cars through Nationwide. I'm on my third Ferrari in about 7 years with them (328, then 360, then 430). So far, so good. Although, so far, knock on wood, I've got a clean driving record. They even insured my teenage son on our family policy when he lived with us. Note that I do have several policies with them: home, personal umbrella, and 7 out of the 8 cars I own. I am middle-aged and live in Virginia, so that might help a lot too.

Your experience (of not being able to get Nationwide insurance) does make me wonder though, if I were to get a couple of tickets, if they would cancel me.

You might try Progressive. I have 4 motorcycles covered by them and they've been very good with those.

    Good luck.

Boy living outside of Florida has some perks eh? You guys pay stupid cheap insurance!! My 05 430 was only 1800 a year which is a BARGAIN in Florida. This 07 430 was just written by GEICO at 2400 per year with 1k deductible which is also quite cheap for Florida, perfect credit, perfect record, no tickets, no accidents ever. Been with GEICO for about 5 yrs. They wrote a 'custom' policy for me because I was already their customer.

You have no income tax. Trust me, you're more than making up for it. My state income tax of $30k a year would buy a lot of insurance.

    Problem Solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One call to allstate and 1 hour later I was insured...got a good rate and more coverage than I had at Nationwide. First thing next week they will be handling the rest of my insurance needs from here forward.

I was just so shocked that Nationwide was clearly not "on my side" They signed up the Mini no problem not 2 months ago. 21 years with the same insurer and they left me twisting in the wind....upsetting.

My personal lesson is: I cannot take speeding or speeding tickets lightly ever again!!!!!

I had a nice topless ride in the mistress to celebrate my new found coverage and almost wept aloud while runing through the forward 6 at 6K....amazing amazing amazing!!!

Thanks to all of you for stepping up to "Help a Brutha Out!"

    I need a nap!
