    hi joe,

am i wrong in thinking then that 5100 was a genuine SVJ that was returned to standard soon after manufacture and then 7 yrs later restored to SVJ specs as is stated on the registry ????

Wolf himself lamented the color-change when I told him about it... the "Oro Longachamps" was period-cool. I liked it, as did many. I think the livery change was a restoration 'faux-pas' by the works. Sorry.

    Its complicated...

4956 was "replaced" by 5100. The repaired chassis of 4956 became 5092. Still following? So we have three cars involved in the chassis number game of musical-chairs.

5100 was built as an SVJ, but it was remanufactured by the works and delivered as an SV. That was my point. However, it is whatever the owner wishes it to be, of course.

Maybe Lambo Dallas set it up to combat the HORRIBLE streets in their area. I fell in a pothole with at least a 3 inch drop on my way to the dealership. The drop was bad enough that my passenger side window opened 1/8 inch. o_O

    this bit i knew.

i was under the apprehension that 5100 was actually delivered as an SVJ to Lansberg (following the aforementioned "musical chairs") and that he decided he preferred the standard car so had the factory change it back - post delivery.

My information is that it was being built as an SV Jota for Hubert Hahne. The works advised Hahne (their leading European concessionaire) of the need to "compensate" Landsberg and the car was thus diverted to a fuming Landsberg who insisted it be completed exactly as his previous crashed (by factory tester) car 4956. So it appears it was in fact only ever delivered as an SV.

Hahne was given credit amd in the winter of 1972/3 the works provided 4860 built into an SV Jota for Hahne.

    Thats my information.

No not 5030. Look carefully at the headlamp surrounds. Its one of a dozen early SVs...

    Hi Joe,

    Again, this car - registered 400 SB 76 - is #4846 !

The picture you've posted has been shot during a french motorshow "Auto plaisir" (means "auto-pleasure") in spring 2007 here in Paris ( former "coupé - cariolet" show) . This year theme was Lamborghini.
You can see just behind the SV, the Gallardo spider concept provided by the factory via the french Lamborghini importer.

If it works, you can try this link : http://www.lamborghini-clubfrance.com/ and if it not brings you directly , then clic "photos" and "autoplaisir 2007"

    Thx for posting!

    4846 looks good.

I notice it too has the "ANSA" stickers on the faux exhaust tips - not an original application, although seemingly popular nowadays. The tips themselves are canted upwards a bit extremely.

This car was originally delivered to Garage Foitek in Zurich on March the 8th 1971 in "Verde Metallizzato" and it has the distinction of being just the 3rd production P400SV.
