Long, LONG way to go, but it's nice to see Mastercar #56 430 up front in GT followed by 3 different marques in 2nd (Mazda), 3rd (Porsche) and 4th (Pontiac).

I have since found out #56 blew a rear tire which in turn badly damaged one of the fuel tanks and pump. Too bad, as it was the faster car of the two run by Mastercar. I am very glad to know #52 is still running reasonably well, 40th overall with a little over 3 hours to go.

I'm very hopeful for a Ganassi three-peat in just over 2.5 hours. I wouldn't be surprised if Chip puts Scott in for the final run. Right now top three places are being driven by NASCAR drivers! Sure would like to see Wayne Taylor's son on the podium - Valiente back in SunTrust so perhaps he can close the lap gap, well maybe. Wayne's other son is driving a Porsche GT car. The Mazda has been really strong - Buckler's group is doing well too.

With 2.5 hours to go, the same lap David and Goliath battle between the DPs of the Micheal Shank Allmendinger/Friselle/James/Pew#6 Ford/Riley and the Ganassi/Sabates #01 Lexus/Riley of JPM/D Franchitti/Pruett/Rojas has ended in favour of the #01. Micheal Shank stated they had numerous tire problems with the supplied Pirellis (6 flats) and believed the tires were responsible for taking them out of contention.

I think the way it will go is Scott will begin with "hi to my family at home", Connie with Sebastian and Paulina(?) will be there for Juan and yes Ashley in her hat will be jumping up and down!! Nice first attempt with Roger's new team - Penske/Taylor - I suspect he'll be much improved next year. I think Allan needs to be driving for Chip to get that elusive win! Just over an hour to go. Great marketing thus far for the RX8. . . much like the preverbial Timex watch.

Minutes to go. OK, Is it me, or is the Mazda simply too fast for it's class. All of these cars are restricted in the HP department. So this obviously limits builders ability to maks changes and refinements to the motor package. So why is it that the Mazda is passing every other GT car on the banking by atleast 8-10mph? Seems the officials need to fine tune the formula for the Mazda.

Not the most exciting 24 hr. and not as star packed as last year but probably one of the best venues for young NA drivers to gain exposure, national TV coverage and network imho.. A shame to see the Brumos car choke along with Shank's because it would have been nice to watch the top 3 on the same lap battle all the way through, but.. always next year.

Nice to see the #52 430 out there soldiering on to the finish and hopefully there'll be a few more of them entered next year. Pirelli needs to do some PR and it's anyone's guess why their rubber seems to annoy radiators more than Goodyear's or Bridgestone's. Dempsey came off like a nice guy during his interviews but Helio wins the public interest story award by mentioning the difficulty he experienced climbing in after Kurt Busch and how he hoped KB would change his diet in the future. Lovely.

No Ashley J. present due to her feeling 'under the weather' ??. I know Yzee doesn't buy that and neither do I. AJ pass up camera time? Never. I'm checking the tabloids for the real truth.

Several hours ago, Kevin was talking about the over heating problems on the Porsches and they were having to be very careful. Apparently the seven cars all had the issue. Congrats to the Mazda team! and to everyone, especially Chip Ganassi. What a closing to the 24 Hour with the music and video from scenes from the last 24 hours....I think my mascara is running!

Sure did look like her in the hat sitting below the podium area the first time they showed the Ganassi groupe on the stage.
