It's still better a better Therapy/Dollar value than my old Psych. Can't think of a single time my mood brightened just at the thought of spending some time with her (the Psych, that is).

Fantastic collection of pics you've shared. Thanks.

Hi, David. Glad to see you joining in the thread too. :) Hope you didn't mind me sharing a few of your old photos, a few pages back. ;)

Ed Cohen's Norwood P4 was at PBSCW. I've just found a couple of photos of his car, posted on Flickr by 'Murph550':

What a great thread. Bob is a true master. These cars in my opinion are deserving of the badge. Doen't look to me like he is doing it much ifferent then Ferrari did in the begining. What confuses me is the fact that Glickenhouse can buy and destroy a new Enzo, which I am totally against because he has got deep pockets and then gets the blessing of Ferrari on top of it. As far as i am concerned Ferrari broke the golden rule and now has opened the door. More power to you Bob. I'll take one of yours over that P4/5 any day.

    Way to go, Chris !! :D ....

That makes at least two of us, anyway. ;) Coming to think of it, you could have 'a few' Norwood P4's for the cost of another P4/5. :)

I think it was blessed by Ferrari for numerous reasons, but if you'll check your Ferrari history, private owners frequently had custom coachwork done for their cars and it didn't make them any less of a Ferrari. Research the Breadvan for a start. What's the difference in what Jim G did, except that he did it 40 years later?

    Hey

    A few minor points.

    Glickenhaus

0844 is, some might say a bit too, enthusiastically Vintage Raced.

0846 and 0854 are road registered and frequently driven thereon.

Those who would rather buy one of these as opposed to P 4/5 are in luck.

    Welcome Bob!

Hey Uncle Bob! We need to catch up. PM me when you get a chance looking for some parts. Just built this engine from scratch in 3 weeks to replace the original and race prep the car to race at Historic Ferrari Challenge at Cavallino this past week. It's not a P4, sorry guys, but a 250SWB comp ain't nothing to sneeze at either.

So much Ferrari goodness in that photo, I'm still trying to find the rest of them plus the Norwood P4 sales brochure so there will be more to come. Btw, It really makes me proud to see the thread I started so long ago continue.

Thought I'd use the opportunity of my 1500th post on Ferrarichat to give this other 'P4 Replica' thread in the C,M,B&P section a plug. ;)

See: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7565 (just updated this morning).

That thread also started off talking about a yellow Norwood P4, and does include other info on them (possibly duplicated in this thread).

    Hi Paul,

Great to see this thread doing so well, I have looked in and out of this for a while now. I have been catching up on a few pages all this week.

I have no problem with these cars as long as no one tries to say its a real one (LOL), I would love to own one of the Norwood cars
    (no chance)!!

Do you know what happened to the one that was owned by Lord Brockett built with a BB engine after it was sold at auction, I last saw it advertised about a month or so later I think in Motorsport magazine for about 3 times more than the auction price?

I know that an American collector was looking for it then??

    Regards,
    Phil.

Phil. It's in Belgium now, looking rather neglected and 'sorry for itself'.

    Paul,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I did wonder if that was the car in question, I had never seen the car or knew anymore about it other that Lord Brockett had owned it and it had a BB engine!

I was asked about it just after it was auctioned by a friend of mine who had been asked by an American collector if he knew where it was, I gave him the phone number from the advert and forgot about it afterwards.

Shame its not loved more, it would be a nice car to own!!

I don't normally check out the latest issue of Sports Car International magazine when I stop in to the local Barnes & Noble, but for some reason, I picked it up yesterday. No mention on the cover of what was inside (of importance, anyway, other than the bordering-on-overexposed 430Scud), and didn't catch the index page with a picture of a certain front-engined 308 Funny Car..........just paging through quickly to see if there was anything interesting.

Folks, there's an article on Dr. Yes - a nice little synopsis of The History of Bob. It goes into exactly what has been discussed here, namely: his eagerness to try something new, often by putting his twist on something old. I used to refer to the shop as "Bob's Dream Shop - where if it isn't fast enough, it can be. If it doesn't exist, it can." This attitude/approach is why there are post-Ferrari P4s, as real as what came out of Marenello, and likely would have if only the production was continued and further developed, lacking only full provenance, and such to fuel the fire here.

Just thought I'd pass this along, it's in the March edition. I wonder if he still calls the magazines "Hollyweird".

Hi guys this is my first post on the site, I thought I'd give you a look into the new Norwood P4. My role at P4 is to handle the production and to improve perfect and an already outstanding automobile. I would welcome any input on the new car, the new car is near in completion. We have fabricated all new bucks to pefect the body details, we are using the latest Motec technology for engine and chassis electronics management, Motec PDM. You may already know, we are using late model Ferrari V12 power plants. Some of the new features are traction control, differintial control, titanium multi-disk carbon clutchs, aluminum flywheel, titanium half-shafts, light weight CV axle joints, upgraded front suspension geometry, heavily modified side shift system on the G50 transmission & electric water pump. We use in house CNC machining capabilities and CAD design from body panels to wiring systems and mechanical parts. The wiring in the vehicle is aircraft quality TESFEL light weight wire and the whole system including the fuse and relay are solid state CAN base systems. We tried to use asmany original OEM parts as we can find for estetics and spy shots are included.
