    on a different topic..... I noticed you removed your roof spoiler. It looks good without it. Smoother lines (helped by the targa top color match also) and there probably aren't too many 328's in the States without a roof spoiler. I like cars with the spoiler also... maybe it depends on the color.

    I think the 355 wheels are the prettiest wheels Ferrari ever made, and they look GREAT on e 308/328 car.

    Do you know if the wheels you will be putting on will be heavier than the original? You may already know but... heavier wheels will hurt acceleration. Maybe braking too. You'll have the increased tire width to improve braking (at least on dry roads) but you'll also have the flywheel effect of heavier wheels which may offset any gains from the greater width... may even make braking distance worse. Also, suspension setup/alignment will become more critical due the lower profile tires on taller wheels. Just some things to be aware of.

    They are quite a bit heavier than the originals... as much as I like the look of the 355 wheels, they are heavier than either 308, 328 or 360 wheels. Of course, going significantly wider than the original 308/328 wheels will be heavier anyway... but hopefully the improved handling makes the accelleration loss well worth it.

    I suspect they're heavier, but I don't use the car as a serious corner carver anyway. I like the looks of the wheels, and they provide a lot more space inside for a brake upgrade in the future.

    Ebay and Ricambi, respectively. The Ricambi rear was chipped so it was cheap, the ebay wheel was not too bad either.

    I can pick up the 4th for ~$600 right now, but want to sell the 2 good rears first to replenish the fund.

    You 308 guys running super-wide rears are risking breaking the stub axle, due to the added grip. I've read some threads on old F-Chat where some guys tracking their 308 with wide and sticky rear tires broke the stub axles. Theoretically, the stubs should be able to handle a ton of force, but, I'm not gonna risk it. Maybe relaxed street driving will be OK....

    My 77 308 GTB has 17" 235s on the rear, and they look and work great..

    Just be careful....

    I have 8" wide...maybe 8.5" on #22127 and they chaff at the fender liner, at full travel.......I doubt you'd ever get 10"s under there.....

    I think this issue gets confused somewhat because it depends on how you mount the 10" wide wheels. If you increase the rear track dimension (which is what can happen since the inboard edge of the 10" wheel interferes with the suspension bits), this can greatly increase the bending moment, and, therefore, the alternating bending stress on the stub shaft which could lead to an early failure. If you keep the rear track dimension the same, this is a much safer situation IMO.

    People always assign the failure to the "stickier" wider wheels, but I'd bet it has more to do with (improperly) increasing the rear track dimension.

    Hey Tillman,

    Here are a couple of shots of the upgrade i made last year. Notice how much room there is between the caliper and the inside of the 360 wheels. Fronts are 14 inch, rears are 13 inch. I think these brakes might just fit into a 17 inch wheel because the calipers and discs are so far inboard compared to the 355-360s

    I think my machinist still has the parking brake adaptor bracket still in his cnc computer, so making another set or two would be cheaper than doing another reverse engineering job.
