Does anybody know if a US car dealer cares whether the buyer is from the US or not? A friend of mine from Europe is considering buying a Porsche here in Chicago and to export back to Europe as the prices are currently so low given the exchange rate etc. So does the dealership require that the buyer actually has a US residency?
Usually its not the dealer that has issues, but rather the manufacturer. Even with the idea of a "world car", they would prefer customers purchase a car designed and equipped specifically for the customer's country.
Porsche (MB too) dealer will not sell a new car for export, period. A used one (titled) is a different story....
