    The Torch is the world's brightest and most powerful flashlight.

    It is capable of melting plastic, lighting paper on fire within seconds, and if you like, fry an egg or a marshmallow on a stick. See a video below that shows how the flashlight burns up a pile of paper.

    Obviously fake. There is no straight line of sight to the moon without encountering obstacles such as satellites, debris or albino black sheep. :)

    ... just in case you run into an evil monster in a dark cave... you can shine the flashlight at the monster, then when it catches fire, you can use the fire to keep yourself warm until help arrives. :)

    IIRC, there was a big laser set up in SW Texas for precisely the purpose of sending a beam up to the moon, bouncing back from a reflector, and thus measuring the precise distance from the earth to the moon.

    Believe it or not, aircraft owners/pilots got a special FAA bulletin warning pilots NOT TO FLY OVER THIS LASER.

    The guy who put the reflector on the moon should have been keeping count of the distance he traveled... or he should have been unraveling a really long measuring tape... :D

    Well, they did put the reflector there during one of the landings...but I think the laser had already been used to monitor the distance as well as they could by just bouncing off the shiny rocks.

    As to the birds and other flying animals, well these are considered expendable here in Texas - especially if they are jet black and fly at night.

    Oilmen's private jets are not.
