    Dear Comrades,

There would appear to be a disproportionately high number of doctors with F-40's. Does anyone have any opinions as to the reason(s) that this should be so?

Having just taken the dogs for their late night sojourn into the woodland I can report that we have a flurry of snow hereabouts.

    With kind regards,

Can you show a statistical link here? Or is your quesry based on anedotal evidence based on the membership here? Certainly, doctors as high wage earners, would have a greater ability to purchase the lofty F40 than your average accountant or real estate agent.

More to the point, why wouldn't every doctor want to own one?

I know even this lowly CEO of a minor paperboard converting company would sell a testicle to have one in his garage.

I looked thru the doctor's parking lot today. There was a fairly low number of F-40s.

You know... the vBulletin control panel offers a great feature called "Tachy goes to Coventry" which would be quite fitting for our persistent English vexation.

Dearest American Comrades and Most Cherished of Friends Residing within our English Colony of the United States of America,

Please, do accept my heartiest apologies. I have perhaps made a gross error of judgement (judgment - for the learned membership of lawyers). I had believed that the medic's had captured a disproportionate number of F-40's. However, this is either not the case, or they have yet to observe this thread; however, at such a time as it may become apparent they may well comment with luculent alacrity and acute erudition. Alternatively, it may be that I was right (I am rarely wrong) and for some obscure reason they have decided to remain silent. All this notwithstanding, the word is out that they are to motor down to the Goodwood Breakfast Club one fine Sunday morning. I shall then engage them in conversation and inveigle the reason from them. Naturally, when possessed of the full and complete facts I shall report back with all speed to my dear friends and comrades residing here within this cavern of prestidigitation.

All good wishes from England to you all.

    With warm regards,

    512 Tea Are

    512 Tea Are,

I think many people oversestimate the income of many in my profession. I certainly have been fortunate enough to land in a reasonably profitable practice. However, the good ole' days of medicine have been over for a while. I see that there are a few physicians fortunate enough to get an F40, but for the vast majority of us they seem to be made of unobtainium given the present market.

Sorry, old chap, you seem to have gotten your fact's a tad discombobulated. Perhaps you missed that day in University but we forcibly ejected you fellows some 200 plus years ago. Thus disolving said "colony".

I do seem to recall, however, some 60 years ago a certain wailing emanating from across the Atlantic and we had to go and keep your national language from becoming German. (You are welcome).

I now tip this cup of Earl Grey in the hope that you are well on your way to "Coventry"!

Possibly to make up for the boring mundane job they live, they need something to lose themselves in.

Assuming the job is boring and mundane.

Perhaps the thread would have received a kinder welcome if had been in the F40 section?

Oh - never mind. I guess was I kind of forgetting something or two...

The early returns WERE from the F40/Supercar section. The habituees found the question to be yet another frivolous and thoughtless posting clothed in excessive verbiage by this user and the thread was redirected to the Fchat flea market.

That was indeed what I was trying to remember.

As Rocky used to say say to Bullwinkel - you know, there seems to be something awfully familiar about those two -
