I haven't really taken my new camera out much lately, but here are a few from the Grand National Roadster Show today in Pomona, CA. All three were taken at 1250 ISO with no flash. I'm digging the D300's high-ISO shots! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm jealous - you were out taking pictures of seagulls at the ocean in MD while I was getting rained on like crazy in Southern CA. Something isn't right about that! Very cool shots...
Nice pic. With the tire tracks curving into the shot it almost looks like the car did a power slide into position!
So where is the grain? Very impressive high iso stuff. Nice shots. Is the d300 full frame? regards ken
Not much grain at all, really. The photos are very useable up to 1600 ISO. 3200 is probably do-able in a pinch, but you'll definitely see grain. It isn't too bad though - it reminds me a lot of film grain, which has a unique look. Here's a 100% crop from one of the photos, straight from the camera. Image Unavailable, Please Login
We just got a D40 the other day so I was messing around last night. I just bought a 69 Ghia and decided to take a pic of it. Not the best but still came out pretty cool. Image Unavailable, Please Login
In March of 1970 I was 17. My buddy bought a new Gia. Paid for it with $20's he had saved. I think it was $2400. We left that day for Key West. In 1972 I bought it and drove it through college. I sold it back to him and he drove it 200K, till the rocker panels were gone.
