Just got of the phone with them, not Steve, and they're not really willing to cut a deal though parking was no problem. I thought because they're giving me a casino host rate in March when I go, they might extend that to the group. Oh well, the search goes on.

I just got off the phone with my friend Striker who is one of the top VIP Hosts in Vegas. He is checking into a couple of places and mentioned "The Hotel" in the Mandalay Bay....Parking there is so secure you need cards to get in and out and it has guard gates. http://www.strikervip.com He is also the guy that can get us the "Rockstar Room at Club Sapphire. Greetings to all my SoCal Ferrari brothers! Sorry if this gets a bit long winded... I am an employee, and the pace car driver for LVMS, so I have a possible option for you to consider while your in Vegas. There is a 3/8 mile paved oval track at LVMS called ''The Bullring'', we have a regular Saturday night racing program that we run there all summer. We have 2 classes of semi-pro NASCAR stock cars, as well as 3 INEX classes, 1 modified street car class, and an alcohol modified class. This is THE track where Kurt & Kyle Bush raced immediately prior to their NASCAR careers! Most nights, we have some type of bonus attraction or theme in conjunction with the event. I have already spoken to the race director, and we would like to invite you guys, and anyone from the Las Vegas FoC, to have an exhibition of our cars at the track on Saturday May17th. This would include a few parade laps on the track for the fans during intermission (led by me of course!), and free admission for everyone to the racing event (2 tickets per car). The parade laps average about 20-25 MPH, it really depends on how many cars... its not easy for everyone to mirror speed in a traffic jam, so we never get up very fast. Somebody always ends up stopping on the front-stretch and burns their tires for the crowd... then of course everyone else wants to do it too, so that holds up the pace quite well too. No safety equipment is required, but possibly waivers... to cover LVMS's a$$, you understand... but i'll take care of arranging all that for everyone. There is a grass and pea-gravel area behind the grandstands that all fans walk through from the track entrance where our cars would be parked. They would remain there all evening, and there is an army of security staff to protect the cars. The spectator gates open at 5:00, so everyone would need to be there at 4:00-4:30pm (at the latest) to get parked and situated. The racing program usually concludes about 10:00-10:30pm, but anyone could leave anytime they wanted too. Its not F1 racing obviously, but its ALOT of fun, and I know everyone would have a great time... it would also be a great place and opportunity to mingle and socialize as a group amongst all our cars. They have $1 hot dogs & $1 beer too! I will make sure everyone is happy and treated as VIP's by the track personnel. BTW, anyone who wants to ride in the pace car with me during the night is welcome! I can have up to 3 people with me at a time (its a Dodge Charger), and we can rotate people after each race.... that’s IF anyone wants too of course. My boss (Mike Stafford) is the race director, and he was my good friend for years before I ever worked with him at the track... so he will make sure that everyone is well taken care of. As far as he’s concerned, you guys are all my friends! The only catch is, I have to confirm with the track by Feb 4th if we will attend, because they will locally publicize and promote our being there. They will also print it on the schedule that is handed out to all fans every night of racing, in the program, and on the LVMS website. So, if you guys say yes, I will expect you to make good, or I’ll end up looking bad! Thanks for the offer. Sounds interesting (and fun) but I think this particular group is expecting to "party and dine" in the evenings and such an event - from mid afternoon to well into the evening - would probably cramp their schedules. However, I cannot speak for others so there might be interest from some of the group. Either way ... thanks for the offer!

For the record, this is not an ''all or nothing'' thing, if you dont want to come, dont! But keep this in mind, nobody has to stay all night, you can leave anytime you want! You could spend a couple hours at the track and STILL make a dinner hour reservation. And if you think the clubs start hopping much before 11:00pm in this town... allow me to enlighten you! From time to time, a bunch of us guys from the track head to a club AFTER the racing is over... and usually there is more of US than there are people already in the club!
I'm very interested. It's difficult for me to commit this far in advance, but I'll be there if at all posssible.
Count me in! This sounds like a ton of fun. As long as we can scoot out around 7 or so to get back to the hotel and get ready for the nightlife I'm in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
