They have worked on several of my cars when I run out at MSR.. They are all very good guys.. very knowledgable! Quality workmanship on everything I have had done there..
I was there when they had their grand opening. From the inside, talking with the guys, several times, they seem pretty knowledgeable. The only experience I've had with them is remounting tires from student cars who had offs which resulted in weeds in the tire beads.
I have had them do all kinds of work for me and they are wonderful to work with. I'm not sure what kind of work you are looking to have done but I highly recommend them for most jobs, just not an engine tear down on the Ferrari.
I really, really need to do sumthang bout the drivers seat in the Maranello. I guess that 6'2", fat, long waisted, white boys were not the target market when Ferrari designed these seats. Performance Speed Tech is the US rep for Cobra and, I believe, Sparco. So I was thinking of stopping by after the regional meet. Dale
I have sat in quite a few 550/575 and not one of them was comfortable. Not even close. Weird. The seats in every Porsche I have sat in have been AWESOME! Maybe Italians are smaller than Germans, or at least the ones who test their seats for comfort and fit... I am 5' 10" so that too is the wrong size for a 550/575 seat...also interestingly I have found 360 seats to fit well...
I'd absolutely trust them with that job. They actually did some trick things with the seat in my Cobra race car to get it set-up for me at 5'9" while the previous owner was 6'2". Very innovate guys when it comes to fabrication, though I doubt you'll need anything fancy. With regards to comfy seats, the seat in the Maserati Coupe seems to have been built with a mold of my @ss. It's perfect for a highway GT though needs more side bolster for serious twisties. The Italians are begining to win me over from the Germans.
Funny because I also loved the seats in my Maser Spyder. I'm thinking of stopping by before the regional meet in March. Once I finish all the nicey nice stuff that weekend, I'm saddling up to run the Comanche Trail to the border were I hear there are lots of pretty senoritas just waiting to greet us! Dale
