    The only thing about the Celica is the steering wheel was specificially designed to fit women's hands.

    My uncles neighbor was part of Toyota managment either of Houston or the Southwest or something like that.

    Interesting. I didn't know Subaru is (was relatively) independent in the auto world.

    GM owns or owned a stake - hence the "Saabaru" 9-2X, which is just a WRX wagon with leather interior and some new panels. Subaru cars, unlike most Hondas or Toyotas now assembled in the US, are still imported from Japan.

    THis 300hp AWD celica sounds great, a throwback to the old Toyota WRC days. However, they need a new body for the car... I still remember seeing the current one new at Toyota dealers in 1999, some nine years ago now.

    I'd say that almost every time I notice a last gen Celica its female driven. One of the very few cars that is a true chic's car. (Some call the Miata one, but its jsut a raw little roadster IMO)
