K-40 Alarm

The solution for mine was to cut every K40 wire I could find, and then throw everything associated with those wires into the garbage.

I had a K40 in my NSX, and it would go out intermittently. Working fine, then starting to beep in one second intervals, till I turned it off. I was told about a local K40 installer/supplier that could test the components, but didn't get around to it before the car was totaled. Find a dealer, and check with them. Mine started doing it about 4 years after working perfectly. Hope that helps...

 

Mine does the exact same thing. Had it installed 4 years ago and its been doing this for the last 2. Have not brought it in yet. Sounds like a common problem!

 

Got the same thing from the K40 Calibre (Bluetooth) laser scrambler. Got it fixed free of charge (they replaced the scrambler) in a few minutes.

 

Get a battery cut off switch and junk those alarms. Mine did nothing but drain those weak 348 batteries.

 

Mine does it too.. The dam thing drives me crazy. I only turn it on when I'm planning on going a bit fast.. Ithought it was just mine....
