It does seem like he would buy an SV. He probably gets paid enough to buy an SV every week or two. In the recent video about his P400 on his website he said he really likes it because it's pure and "all the tires are the same size." Maybe he thinks the Miura became bastardized by the time the SV came along. I dont see how anyone could make that argument. The SVs are obviously the best Miuras! I think it's cool how Leno is modest about his money.

I could see why he would say that. Yes, my favorite is the SV, but P400/S has a very flawless design, and shouldn't be dismissed as the "poor man's Miura".

I think it is what you want when you get into these cars, not the money...I for one have parted with Two SV cars and in favor of keeping my "S" car...I find it more GT design and sexy then the SV IMO.

It does not have anything to do with the cost...

Does he not have any newer cars. I thought he'd have a Diablo.

Nobody should ever dismiss the P400 or the P400S for any reason. They are icons in their own right...

Do you have more pics of Jay Leno's garage? I don't like their official website? Can we have a thread on this forum?

    Thanks,

This is a picture of Miura P400 # 3240 that was taken in the entrance lobby of the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains in St. Moritz during the Lamborghini meets St. Moritz event in June 2007. Too bad this car was languishing in the hotel instead of having fun with its mates on the Swiss Alpine passes. As you can see the mufflers have been replaced by simple tubes on this particular car. I would have liked to hear the screaming engine music echoing in the mountains above St. Moritz during that Saturday in June 2007. Nevertheless, an audio/video sample of this car can be found in following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Okp5np1alOQ

I was there and this car has seen better days such as when it lived with George Dyer next to his GTO in California years ago (image from 1970)...

Ah, you were also there, this Miura is owned by a friend of mine, like the white QV outside. His neighbor owns a yellow miura, the one you can see in the Video.

Funny, it is to each person his own...for most you could not give the car away..BUT for the right person it is worth every penny.

FYI There was a 2001 6.0 in close to this color. It resides in NY currently. I have been advised that it is the ONLY 6.0 in the USA in this color...when I saw it I was willing to give the owner just about what ever he wanted for the car...but as he said..IT WAS not for sale as it was HIS favorite color...

Same with the Gold and Brown 6.0 SE colors...for some like me, they are frikin gorgeous...for others, they would re-paint in a flash..

I am just glad these cars came in many colors and not just like FORD used to have ANY color you want, as long as it is Black...LOL LOL
