respectfully john, i dont want, nor need to avoid anything. has scud confirmed that he actually meant crash, rather than near miss? as far as i can see, scud's comment referred to the incident which came up in conversation last week, where i mentioned pless had had a moment on some water in tassie.

Did PP crash in the event scud referred to last year in Tassie? No he didnt, therefore it was a near miss. So simple in my eyes. If you did crash, and as a result Scud did laugh beyond comprehension, why would you care? What would it matter? And why do you feel it necessary to tell everyone? What if John Smith from Geelong were to laugh beyond comprehension if he heard about a crash you were in or indeed nearly in, would he get the same attention?
