Has anyone removed the Flywheel and not marked its position beforehand by accident?!?! Any help would be much appreciated. Also the Flywheel has micro cracks all over the surface area where the clutch contacts, normal?

heat cracks are normal, a flywheel machine will clean it up and there is a minimum thickness you can use to check it before and after. As for the re-installation, one bolt is scewed slightly that it can only line up in one position.

Even if there wasn't one hole out of place, just think about it. The TDC marks need to be at TDC when cyl #1 is at TDC. Pull the #1 sparkplug, poke something like a thin screwdriver in there and turn the crank until the piston comes PCTTDC (pretty close to top dead center). There are (I think) six bolts on the flywheel. That's a 36* window - you'll know if it's right or not, it will be really obvious. It's not like you could only be off by one or two degrees.

    Sleep well.
