    This is a typical sunset here in the prairies the sun sets as late as 9:30pm in the summer, they say you can see your dog run away from home for three days
    because it's so flat...lol
    actually it's not that flat but I do enjoy watching storms roll in it's breath taking

    I moved to Seattle on the tail-end of a 93-day rain streak. I wasn't affected by the rain there though. Some people wig out, esp those from the sunny Southwest.

    What is the tax rates (including federal/ CG, income, and GST) of Alberta? I've heard that the combine taxes of federal and Alberta taxes competes with the best of the US (with no death tax or anything). Calgary is booming.

    It has a 10% provincial flat income tax... so I think at the top range its 38%... including federal income tax.... which if you're making a large income, is significant savings over the other provinces. There is no PST, so sales tax is only 5%. Its 6.5% here in FL., and upwards of 14% in other provinces.

    i'm not certain but I think capital gains is lower too than the other provinces.

    They don't call it the Texas of Canada for nothing!..... by far the most pro-business province in the country.
