I had an opportunity to shoot a 69 E Type. The car was restored by a local fellow around here, Greg Weldy. He does incredible work with Jaguars and Shelbys. Afterwords I went to his shop where he had some very nice cars.

    cheers

Your car is a beauty. I think I like the shape of the coupes better than the verts. It just flows better.

As far as the Jag guy, here's the info: Greg Weldy 301.717.1617. He does incredible work. You throw a jag bolt on the floor, he can id it and put it back where it goes.

Here is a picture of his place with a few cars that he is working on.

    cheers

That is one fine looking automobile. How hard is it to keep those wires clean?

You should bring her out to the donut shop some Sunday morning.

    cheers

Thanks. But to be honest, it is actually a "20 footer" (which is why I take the pictures from 20 feet away. :) )

The wire wheels are relatively new, so I can't claim to know any detailing secrets on how to keep them clean.
They are 5" wide Dayton wheels so that I could mount the modern tubeless Pirelli radials on the car.
It gives the E-type a meaner look, no?

I think the silver Series I E-type in post #8 may have similar wider-than-stock wire wheels. Looks good.

    Hi Ken,

Ya would be great to post them up over on the BritCarchat site as well. I do not want to break any rules here but that should help you out. I dont see where i can make it a link without it saying the full site name.

Regarding the wire wheels they can be very much a pain to keep clean and clean in general. I take care of a couple of e-types and cleaning takes some labor indeed.
