As far as I know, the '05 NSX goes for alot more than any 348 ive seen on the market lately. If this is a straight-up trade, I say go for it, have a few laughs with the NSX for a couple months, sell it, then go buy the mintiest 348 you can find! You'd probably end up with a few bucks left over to cover the next major, and some upgrade goodies!
Or perhaps you could embark on a quest for a sweet rosso/nero 355GTS with a 6-speed!

If you actually stray this far from sanity and make the trade, you are going to make some HONDA owner real happy!
Does this mean we are going to see Honda faces on your watches?
I found another problem with the Honda it has TWO trunks, what good is that? lol

Chris please list your thoughts on why this might be a good idea.

    Well,

Its the last year of the model, super low miles, ya know I love that...
And it just fell in my lap...kinda..I really don;t know anything about the car.
I just know I see them occassionally on the fwy and I really like the looks.

I am trying to have Dean348 let me borrow some $$$ So I can keep the 348...
But, he hung up on me.....not kiddin either, he said I'm crazy for thinking about buying an NSX and hung up!

Freakin hilarious and caught me totally off guard...

FYI: This is probably gonna happen, not 100% certain I can let the 348 go, might have to figure something else out...
Just so much goin on right now, this is not the best time.
But these things never happen at a good time....

    I'll keep ya'll posted....well everybody but Dean348, he'll be the last to know :)

Look you have to go with what will make you happy, if its the NSX buy it and make the most you can of every moment you spend with it!
If it means you have to sell the 348 we will all be sad, but hopefully it wont be for good I'm sure after a few months in the Honda you'll be back!

"Maybe I should keep looking at this pic"
    LOL!!

I'd love to have a 348! The NSX is cool but just not a Ferrari. Is it the NSX that draws you, or are you just really looking for something differn't? Say! ....... I have a very nice GT4....I'd be happy to swap ya! :D
I'd ask myself why this guy is so eager to trade? I'm sure he'll be quite a happy guy if you do! Beautiful 348 BTW!!!

    Cheers!

    What are you thinking! :p:p

The NSX is a cool car, but IMO, does not give you a raging HORN like a Ferrari 348 does! :D:D

Id stick with the 348 buddy. If you sell your 348, I am sure one day you will regret it and you will be hard pressed to find another that is as gorgeous as your car!! Mark these words! :D:D

    Hear hear....

I agree with PAP .......all the way.......I have never seen any other 348 (or pictures thereof) looking as clean and beautiful as yours!
Should I really call "the Hankster" and ask him to take away your car for a while???? ......Just to make you realise how big a mistake this would be!!!!

Chris, I respect your choice of course, but it REALLY DOES make me sad! :(:(:(

    All my best

Chris, the NSX is a great car, as said by many above me. But..a big BUT...IF you really want to trade yer pristine 348 for an NSX, there can be only one type of NSX that makes logical progression. It's the NSX-R NA-1/NA-2. But you guys don't have access to that particular variation right? Therefore, ain't worth it bro. :)

The NSX-R NA1 can leave a 348 for dead and the NA2 versh kills a 355. All (smallish) performance numbers pertaining to them are INcorrect because of the JDM agreement nonsense but it was/is a heck of a supercar. Totally different than any normal NSX. Lowering the car to the extent of modifying the scuttle, not just springs/shocks, thinner glass, lighter wheels, lower gearings and a blueprinted motor. Drove one once but in MY, it was a special order versh and costs as much as a 355 back then.......

There was an R&T or C&D article in '91/'92, a comparo of an NSX vis a 348tb.The roadtesters were like having a hard time to decide which is better but I still remember till now what they concurred then...something like.." The NSX is a better exotic and the Ferrari 348 the better Ferrari..":)

    Keep the 348...or go 355! :D

Chris, you crazy man, I had to hang up but not because of the $$$ you wanted to borrow, it was for your statement saying that you think the NSX will give you the same joy that the 348 did! I'll send you the $$$ if you'd go for a 355 instead of an NSX!! :)

Chris, I think the key question is whether you'd drive it to the mall or not. If you are going to have the same driving patterns as the 348, keep the ferrari, it is a million times more special

I would say that if you are looking for a DAILY driver the NSX is a great choice. But my ferrari gives me the hurt behind the ears from smiling experience every time I take it out, the NSX does not
