I couldn't tell if it was a Siata 8V, a Cisitalia update or an Osca, with a body from Michelotti/Vignale or Pininfarina. The grill was what pushed me towards Osca and Cisitalia.

I went into VeloceToday and although they don't have a photo from that angle, I'll go with an Osca MT4 Berlinetta ????

The 500 with fins? No idea..I like Paul's guess...

Nice work guys. Paul is correct, and Isobel is as well. A Puch 500 and a MT4.
And Bernie got the JS, even if he misspelled it :)

Wow, what an incredible custom car.
Part C1 Corvette, part classic T-bird, part 50's Cadillac, part ...
And it is in the colors of a Killer Whale!

And what is that symbol in the hood ornament?

But, why is it #3 (on the license plate)? Does this guy have even wilder cars for #1 and #2?

I read an article about this car and its designer (ex-chrysler?) some time ago.
I believe he only got to do 3 cars...

    Can't remember the name, though.

Michiel, are you thinking Virgil Exner ? I honestly don't know who designed it, but supposedly they made four of these, all had retractable roofs.

I tend to include a hint in my caption.

That is, of course, a Gaylord. I easily remembered this because there are 12 pages on this car in Automobile Quarterly Vol 12, #4, which is the first issue I purchased, in 1974, because it was the issue that featured Lancia, and I was a real Lancia nut at the time.

Argggh. Jeff, you and I both love these things, I just can't think of its name. Dastardly pick.

Alright JB, I've tried to rally the troops here and although they refuse to say uncle, Marquess of Queensbury rules dictate you should oblige us with a hint. Gaylord would.

Jeff has been very sick, sorry I didn't come back with an answer.

Yes, my mystery car was the 1957 Abarth 750 Sperimentale by Vignale, also known as the "Goccia" ("droplet") or as the "push me/ pull you" Abarth. Two cars were built, and the car was a candidate for production, until the Abarth Zagato version came along.

    Good job, Isabelle!
