Actually, not very much in action as he fries the clutch right there on the start line! Mudoh Oda who owns the Wolf Countach is actually a martial arts/bhuddist monk of sorts. The Annivesario was operating properly though... Joe www.joesackey.com
Victor, here is the basic history of 1120090 as I have it on file. 1975 Countach LP400 production number 46. "Oro metallizzato" (Gold), "pelle Naturale" (Tan) per factory's original production register. Delivered to AGECO (Beirut, Lebanon). Then to Saudi Arabia. Repainted "Blu Tahiti" with "Bianco & Blue" interior. Imported to the USA in 1984 by Paul Spain. Blue with white & blue interior. Aftermarket wheels. Rear wing. Color changed to white with dark red interior. BTW, I have always found the old factory production register to be correct over the past 15 years Ive referenced it (thanks for double-checking CZ). Later records for the USA are corroborated by longtime Lamborghini historian and President of the oldest Lamborghini Club extant, Jim Kaminski. Joe www.joesackey.com
Hmmmm....I wonder why the heck those "experienced" sons from the Land of the Rising Sun needs race suits for that nonsens!! Ciao! Walter
Joe, when I bought my car in Belgium it was still in the condition it left Tora-Tora-country....incl. a damaged clutch. It seems to me that the boys over there are a bit overstressed by operating a clutch propperly! The first thing to do after a purchase of such a car is to strengthen the clutch with racing material (but no Sinter-material!). Ciao! Walter
So, what are they saying during the commentary? "Ahh so, that guy just fried the clutch on his Lamborghini, that must be expensive, haha, haha!!"
They said the clutch plate was burned out completely. Oh engine speed was too high. Smell of burnt clutch blah, blah, blah. Mr. Mudoh confessed honestly he was unskilled. He also said he enjoyed this 0-200m race very much and he wanted to revenge after car was fixed.
Hi all Countach spotters, Although not a LP400, here are two pictures of a Countach taken at the srapeyard behind the factory in 1988. When you look closely, you will see that it's not the famous Evoluzione Countach, that was crashed. Question remains: What the hell is this??? Ciao! Marcello Image Unavailable, Please Login
No, that Countach is certainly not L150!!! Note the different doors, the different front fenders, that kind of spoiler in front of the windscreen. It looks like a further development of L150. I never was aware of that car. Great input by Marcel!!! Regarding the LM I believe that you refer to the beige car in the middle of the photo, while F-chatter Jota 5084 probably meant the different, brown LM prototype on the left side of the photo.
yeaah saw this later on but had no time... I think it might be a diablo prepre-proto you remember the grey car with the countach taillights.
I tried to take the same photo of my interior... The lighting is a bit off. True S1 interior. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
#1120292 This car changed hands last year, but is still in Holland with a new owner, a young but longtime Lamborghini enthusiast. The car was mainly restored by it's former owner, and now needs some work on the interior, and some small other things. Let's hope it will be on the Dutch roads sometime in 2008... Ciao! The brown LM in the photo seems to be the LM001 prototype from 1982 (http://www.timpelen.com/?car=lm_001) with the wide air intakes behind the doors. Kaare
Also unfortunately not. It is in the disposition of the Mimran one-off though.. Joe www.joesackey.com
