Which model would be good as a daily driver.

Do you think i can use a ferrari as a daily driver in nyc. i have an f430 but i want to get a ferrari as a daily winter and summer any suggestions if no ferrari then what and no Bentley's hate them. i have s550 4 matic but i am tired of it.

I'd bet a 599 is a pretty decent daily driver, as long as you don't plan on driving it in deep snow. Ferrari maintenance sucks when you're putting that many miles on it, but I assume you'd be well aware of that.

 

New or used? And do really mean winter, as in light snow, and (gasp!) salty slush?

If you're open to the used market, go for a 456GT. The prices are really low, it won't rust immediately, and the 5.5L V12 is plenty potent enough.

BTW, there's a guy on this board, Alex Leventhal, who drives his 400i in the snow. Commutes from Westchester and parks it in the street downtown during the day. Now that's a daily driver.

P.S i am looking for a 2 door not a 4 door i am tired of all the cars so boring. and i am getting my smart car next week.

I'm assuming you're tired of Mercedes, but CL63 AMG? BMW M6? Porsche Turbo?

 

i had the turbo the m5 not great i have 08 760li (wife drives) CL63 is on top of my list i saw the CL65 i said the price was not worth the dif between the 63 and the 65. thank you. i herd ferrari is coming out with a daily driver i am going this week to see what it is and if its good i will buy it the car is due out next year but not confirmed nor have i seen it yet.

 

ever thought about a maserati gran turismo? automatic transmission, ferrari-derived engine, comfortable, lots of color options... not a bad option for a daily driver

Get a 550 Maranello . They are sporty , classy , comfortable , fast , sexy and not that common.

i had the gallardo loved it but its very low for city driving believe me i have thought about it. also i do want a little comfort. the masariti grand tourismo maybe an option i am thinking about it. also i had the quad and when it snowed i was dead on the street. an all wheel would be great i was thinking of the audi s5 coupe. To tell you the truth i dont even know what i want anymore. i guess i am spoiled because i have had them all.. Something will do it. remember i drive from brooklyn ny to the city every day and have kids that i drive around also.

 

Any recent Audi is great! Their quality is leaps and bounds better, then early 90s Audi. And the S5 has a distinct V8 growl, when you rev it. It looks great also

If you want an understated look, the S8 is great. The v10 has a distinct growl also.

if you dont mind spending the crazy $...they're out there!! I drove one in May...and it was pretty sweet. A perfect daily driver!

 

The R8 is sooooo much more comfortable than the G...... and this is coming from a Lambo guy!! + performance is almost on equal grounds as the G.

 

Nice! I was in champion about a week ago and they had a silver one. I'm not sure if its still there though.

 

I don't know if this sounds good to you, but a car that is fast and could be your all year long daily driver is the Audi RS6 (450HP, AWD and Tiptronic gear). It is not that expensive and in my opinion looks good.
