I am a new Ferrari owner, was hanging out in the 360/430 section and didn't get much response for any technical questions nor was I very interested in reading some of the topic.

This section fits me much better, I am a 100% DIYer. Would prefer to lay under a Ferrari than to drive them. LOL!

I'm with you on the DIY thing. And where a Ferrari scores over a Toyota is that there is always something to fix.

    Hello from Germany,

and with all the cars you own you have the correct ones for your attitude :) My '72 Alfa 2000 GTV kept me so busy during this winter, that the not so urgent work on the 308 GTB had to wait.

    Best Regards

    Martin

    Martin,

Interestingly the most reliable car in our stables are all from Germany. LOL!!! Most troublesome so far is the British Rover.... But thank God it is easy to work on, lots of space.

Well... this is how I ended up with a 360...

The 3x8 was the car that made me fell in love with Ferrari in the first place, early 80s with the Magnum PI show. I absolutely thought that was the most beautiful car in the world and wanted a Ferrari ever since.

As the years went by, bought couple of Porsches, thought they were a more "practical" car than the Ferraris and was the only thing I could afford.

Started my search for a Ferrari late last year, started with a 348, and then 355. Placed deposit on two 355s both failed PPI, and after much research finding out issues with the 355, valve guides, exhaust manifold, electrical issues etc. I decided to look for an early 99 or 00 high mile 360. Ended up buying a 360 spider because it was a good deal. Went way over mu budget, oh well...
