The red Miura SV is #4880 on 'les Ateliers des Coteaux" stand - on sale also through Axel Schuette website. The lime green one is #4808 previously metallic silver And I've forgotten the brown/orange P400 chassis number... Bruno

Quite the life this car has had and I remember it sat at Rudi Klein's Foreign Auto Wrecking on Alameda treet (in Los Angeles) for over 10 years. It has been lovingly restored in Germany but not with much regard to authenticity, but maybe thats the way the new owner wanted it... Joe www.joesackey.com
A few items worth pointing out on 4880, none of which are major 'sins' all of which can be corrected, if the owner so wanted... First off, this chassis brace-bar is from a P400S. SVs had a solid unit without the stamped "swiss cheese" circular perforations. Joe www.joesackey.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
Chassis ID plate on the leading edge of the frame was originally finished in red paint... Joe www.joesackey.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
Chromed steering wheel spokes with tan leather rim, reversed 'grab-handle', tan leather-clad Countach shift-knob etc are all 'custom' items... headrests have P400-style stitching. Joe www.joesackey.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
SV badges a tad askew and faux exhaust tips were originally bolted behind the rear valance and not onto it... Joe www.joesackey.om Image Unavailable, Please Login
Satin black trim around the headlight apetures is missing... easy fix if desired. Carello driving lamps when applied by the works were always recessed into the front grille... note P400 front wheels. Joe www.joesackey.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
. . . everytime I have my eyes on a Miura - any Miura - it looks different and really leaves me enchanted. There simply is no other car that does that to me. Although I'd have an LP400 over a Miura . . . But then, 'sitting in' is something completely different than 'looking at'. I'm slowly reading this topic: from the beginning and I'm now at 40-something. Does Nicolas Cage still have that burgundy SV? Now THAT is my fav one, black exhausts and all.
In the late '80s there was a Miura that was owned by a student at San Jose State. He told me that the chassis was not "right" - something about having been stolen and damaged; he had bought it in this condition. I drove it one time with him; interesting but earlier in the week I had been driving a 250LM so the excitement of the Miura was not as great as it should have been. Anyone know what became of the car? Jeff Kennedy
Joe, I know the restorer -and then time owner- who sits about 30 miles from my home. He is a very complicated person but known for his excellent and very authentic restorations of 50ies Ferraris, Maseratis and Porsches. He had no clue about Lamborghini........! Ciao! walter
Well, Im not saying he did a bad job, but he could have used a little guidance here & there Joe www.joesackey.com
Just checked my notes tonight: Fayram still has the car. Its awaiting restoration.... Im not allowed to post the chassis, but its all true - its still there! Joe www.joesackey.com
Can`t agree more - BUT: guidance is not what he accept as he always believe that he knows more than the rest of the universe.......! Ciao! Walter
Joe, I heared that the car was almost wrecked. Any photos of it sitting in Mr. Klein backyard??? Ciao! Walter
That must make it one of the record holders for continuous ownership. I know Rick had it in 77 and he had bought it sometime before then. Is his a P400 or a 400S? Jeff
No, actually I can think of at least 5 Miura owners who purchased their car NEW and still have it! P400... Joe www.joesackey.com
Hahahaha. "Almost wrecked". I like that. Walter, just looking at the images of the crumpled mass of aluminum and metal that was once a Miura SV, I am certain that the driver was a fatality, or was badly maimed at the very least. It was a horrible crash to within an inch of the car's life. Then it sat around for 10-plus years slowly corroding away - outside!!! I am certain most of the car today comprises of replacement parts (see my note about the front chassis suspension above). It would not be proper to post said images of the wrecked car at this time...
