    That looks incredible!
Why did you decide to use three canvases?

I really don't know for sure, this is the first time I paint in 3 separate canvases, I made some previews with my projector:
    http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=183229
and really liked the way it looked in 3 pieces, to be honest with you, it was really interesting making this painting this way, I really loved it from the beggining, I'm going to make another in the same format, maybe the kimi in 3 pieces.

    thanks for your comment.

Wow! Looks like a photograph! Me, I can't sign my name artistically, much less draw or paint! That, my friends, looks incredible!

Amazing......at first glance I thought it was a photo. It's so real. It's incredibly beautiful.

Is it for sale.......I would be very interested if you ever consider it.

Caught this little guy in my neighbors yard today. I hear them all the time but rarely spot them. Unfortunately this was at the end of the reach of my big lens so it's not the best pic. I took a bunch that didn't even turn out.

Hey, I had to climb on the roof just to get that one! So is that what it was, an ivory billed woodpecker? I didn't know, just heard and saw him pecking on my neighbors tree!

    Thanks for the "A" though!

How about this one, a little better view and angle but too much stuff in the way for clear focus.

Thanks for your comment, it's really comforting to see you guys liked it. I really loved painting it, last week I was really desperate to finish it, because it took more than my normal time to complete a painting, I think it was because of the 3 canvases and the size of the whole artwork (75" x 43"), but finally it's done!
Today I started my next project, the BBS wheel from the 360 challenge, I hope it can be completed in half the time of this one. will keep you updated on the progress.

    Best regards and happy weekend

    Ever

Most likely a pileated woodpecker. It doesn't have the white wing markings of the ivorybill. The ivorybill is supposedly extinct, but there have been some sightings in the swamps of Arkansas. But nobody has gotten a decent "modern era" photograph of one yet. (My avatar is the Ferrari-esque version.)
