Haha - I'm sure the valet would've recognized Usher. He's a valet at the "most upscale" mall in Atlanta!

Well, is it possible that the valet guy didn't think he should tell who's car it was. This probably woulden't happen but Usher lives in CCS (Fulton) and has a CGT. If Usher was or was not driving doesn't really matter, but I am happy that you looked at the plates and saw that it was not the same one! The more the better!

Correct, Usher has a CGT and it is the same color (if, in fact, this wasn't his car). Not sure I understand the "technical" comment but no need to get off topic.

I've been Googling just to find out, and I came across this post on BimmerForums.com, dated December 23, 2005:

I went to work today, and just found out that Usher bought the last silver Carrera GT that Jim Ellis had last week

The Carrera GT that I saw yesterday had a Hennessy Porsche license plate frame. Perhaps Usher could own the other one, and the man you talked to just presumed it was Usher's based on the fact that it was a silver Carrera GT. Or perhaps the poster on BimmerForums was wrong. Either way, it looks like Usher does indeed own a Carrera GT here in Atlanta.

No - that is the same one from Phipps yesterday (plate ending in 8872). The tag on the one I saw October 23, 2007 at the Intercontinental in the rain ended in 0960. Comments on that photo suggest indeed that it (8872) is not Usher's vehicle. Perhaps 0960 is.

Only two exotics today, both at around 2:45pm: a black Aston-Martin DB9 Volante on Florida tags at Piedmont and Lenox, and a silver Lamborghini Gallardo on Henry County plates at Peachtree and Piedmont. Here's a cool shot of that car in traffic at Peachtree and Lenox - I've seen more Gallardos than any other exotic car and yet the design still captivates me.

Also, check this out - a NASCAR license plate from Georgia - and it's flat. Is this thing legit?

Saturday, after I saw the CGT, I saw this Bentley Flying Spur at the Clubhouse valet at Lenox. Later, a CL65 AMG RennTech at the Lenox valet who was nice enough to let me sit in his car. Here's another shot. (All of my pictures at night will be at weird angles because the exposure setting on my camera is too long at night and makes pictures blurry).

Today I saw lots of good cars but not many pictures. We went for a ride in the QP today and I swear that if you are in an exotic, exotics seem to come to you. As we stopped by Blockbuster to drop off a movie, an Emory doctor pulled up in a Maserati GranSport and parked next to us. Here's a duo shot of both of the Maser's. As we were talking to the owner, an Acura NSX flew by us on Peachtree. We then proceeded on to a car wash next to Mo Mo Ya, where I frequently see exotics, and they did a great job. We passed Butler Tire and saw a light blue Mansory Bentley GTC. Driving passed Fallini's and La Fonda, there was an outrageous white 997 Turbo with BBS rims. We then drove by a restraunt where we saw a dark red Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder which Doug frequently sees. Driving through Buckhead, we passed a black Maserati Spyder. And last but not least, at Phipps, we parked next to a nice BMW Alpina B7 with Cobb County plates.

Black Lambo Gallardo just left the PCNA deck. Great looking car with a black/tan interior, three-pedal car and chrome/ball finish.

Do they all have the number '8' on them? I think that's Mark Martin's number :)

Number '8' is actually Dale Earnhardt, Jr. - or at least I would think so because it says 'DALE JR' in small print under the number on the plate. Of course, I'm not a NASCAR guy myself, so I'm not sure.

The number 8 one isn't on there, so they're missing at least one. I really hope these things don't permeate the state, although special license plates are really taking off here - I also saw this Georgia "Realtor" plate on Monday. Only one of those I've ever seen.

I'm embarrassed to say I know why...Dale Jr. is not number '8' anymore!!!! he's now with another team with a new number.

Cool, I've been wondering what those Realtor tags were going to come out like. I may pick one up.

I'm convinced that if the Carrera GT were to have a heart, it would have a soft spot in it for me. Back in February 2005, I saw a Carrera GT on my second date (ever!). So convinced were my friends that I hadn't seen one that I went out and bought a camera so they next time I got that lucky, I could prove them wrong. :) 738 exotic car sightings later, here I am... the very first Carrera GT I photographed ended up becoming my favorite photograph of all time, and on May 6, 2006, I finally caught up with that Carrera GT that I "hadn't seen" back in February 2005. :)

WOW! Finally a yellow one. That's the best color for the CGT IMO. Definately the color of the CGT on my dream cars list.

I was in Atlanta this weekend. On Sunday I did spot the CGT alongside the white Bentley GT shown on the Car-Parazzi website. There was also a black 430 Spider with red interior and black aftermarket rims next to the CGT. It was certainly was a site to see and made my trip worthwhile. Lenox was dry when I got there after leaving Phipps. Tis a shame I didn't have my camera on hand.

That picture was taken 10/14/07. That was a different CGT, but there was one there so nice job on the spot. There was also most likely a Bentley GT there considering those things are everywhere!

    +1

Absolutely the color to have it in.

No - that photo was taken at the (very unassuming) corner of Florida Avenue and Ogden Street in Denver, Colorado, on July 15, 2005. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the home in the background of the photo was later put on the market for considerably less than the Carrera GT sold for when new.

Spots today included a black BMW Z8 on North Carolina plates parked on Ritz property near its valet, a black Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder parked - as it often is - with its top down at a bank across Peachtree from Lenox Mall, and a silver Lamborghini Gallardo on Cobb County plates at Lenox Road about to enter northbound GA-400.

Also, yet more new Georgia license plates - University of Florida and "Preserve Georgia." What is with this infiltration of license plates?!
