Ok I am abit confused, are we all just booking our own rooms now? I just need to know as I was waiting as I thought we were doing a group thing for parking the cars etc. Please give an update as I have done nothing for rooms yet and don't want to wait too long if the plan has changed. Thanks, Jeff
I booked a room just so I have one for now. I also would like to see know where is the group statying. Monte Carlo is a nice palce and never had problems there. If the group makes final plans, I will join as well. Please firm this up guys.
1. Depart San Diego (Cavallo) at 8AM Thursday, May 15th. 2. Meet with OC/LA drivers at Ontario Mills Mall @ 10AM. 3. Caravan up to Vegas. As far as rooms go, I was under the mistaken impression that several guys had already booked there own rooms and therefore there wasn't a need to secure a block anymore. I agree with Jeffrey - one person should just make the decision on where to go, and block a large set of rooms. Everyone should stay in one spot, much easier to coordinate. If others would like to stay elsewhere, so be it.

Eric, absolutely. Thusday morning we will all meet at Cavallo MotorSports and head out from there. How many should we expect? I will have some food for us prior to the drive.
As for the rooms, it would be nice to have as many of us together in one place. Also, have we made any headway as to getting an area set up where we can all have our vehicles undercover and protected?

Will get confirmation we can have the same set up as on the Pauper's runs (parking in the Paris garage near the security booth where the limos for the hotel are parked).

Hey Jeff. I know Eric is still checking. I'm also making some inquiries. My suggestion to you (and to everyone else) is to book your own rooms at the Paris or Ballys. They have a 72 hour cancellation policy which means you have nothing to lose up to three days prior to the trip. There are at least six or seven of us with rooms already so we're definitely going one way or the other.
Guys, Apologies for not updating this sooner. Between being down with the flu last week and some long turn around times getting info back from the Harrah's group we have a block of 10 rooms at Bally's. - Paris is sold out. Although their web site still indicates availability for our weekend, they are overbooking at this point so it may not guarantee a room, FYI. - Bally's has limited availability. I have a contract coming from Lana Lombardo at Harrah's today for 10 rooms. It would be helpful to know who has already booked their own room so I can make these 10 rooms available in order of who required a room but who has not yet booked one. Thanks!

Average of $219 is not a bad rate. I stayed at Bally's a few months ago and was impressed with their renovated rooms. I've always had the impression that it was a hole in the wall casino hotel but it's not bad at all. Besides ... most of the gambling, drinking, partying, etc. will either be at the Paris or elsewhere. Eric - Just make sure Security knows we're coming so they can tape off our desired parking area on the limousine level.
Yes, they are expecting us; security will have the area taped off. For those that are going for the first time this is the parking garage between Bally's and Paris, second level where the hotel limousines are parked and close to the parking garage security office and away from the general guest parking areas.
