I had the same problem when I first moved to the Metrotown area. An older ex-military gentleman wanted to control the street parking and said that I cant park my truck as he had been parking in front of my house since the 70's. I didn't argue until he started lecturing me about petty things (like cutting my hair, trimming my sideburns, etc.) until one day I asked him if I could invite him to go to church with me. He asked where and when, I told him that the first full moon was in a few days and that the congregation just purchased a "live goat" for the offering! I asked him to wear only black or dark hooded clothing for the ritual. That was the last time I saw and heard of him. Oh and he never parks in front of my house too!

 

Tell her that your car is emission certified by the province and that is why you have a BC plate on it.........then suggest that she have the emissions from her mouth checked and that she has enough room on her ass for a plate if she passes.

 

Next time just burn some gas and keep it in high revs for a while.
She might scream at you but you won't hear her...

 

Try this one next time around.

Tell her that since she is in her 60s plus, and im assuming you are in your 30s ? Ask her how many garbage bags she has thrwon in landfills until recently compared to what you have done and she has be worse. If this doesnt work, simply tell her that she wont have to worry about the environment cause she wont see the end of time anyway.

FWIW :

I have had the my TR with Borla exhaust since day one, my neighbour across the street was the same...they only did it 2 times to me to complain. I then proceeded to use the TR on Sat and Sun mornings at about 6am ( i was childless at the time mind you)....and it drove them nuts one entire summer....they actually complained more to me (weekly), and called the cops on me 2 times....but i continued my journey, sometimes even going at 5:30 am. (BTW, i told the cops i used the car for work )........within the year, they sold there house. Now i have had the same neighbours across the street for 8 yrs or so, never start the car at 6am either anymore
It all works out in the end eventually
