According to the latest Ferrari Market Letter, the "average asking price" for a F512M in their newsletter has been $127,742. Six month ago, they say it was $155,069.
THAT CAR IS HOT!!! Hopefully that one can stay here in the NW, especally in the PDX area!!! Too bad I don't fit....
Yes, very rare The 512M was the epitome of the TR line, being the last variant produced and the only model with the improved diff carrier, spline shaft, etc while prior models that had these failures would see some large bills to repair these ($20k or more). The headlights and wheels are a personal thing, but they do set the 512M apart from the priors.
I was going to say off the top of my head $150k. Guess I am 6 months behind. I remember when these cars were new. Tonkin had on one the showroom floor. I would have been 8th or 9th grade but I remember that car. Those wheels are so distinctive.
The car is Beautiful Roy! I totaly agree with you Sonny! I fit in those perfectly, they had a 92' at RTGT a while back and I sat in her. Talk about "fits like a glove"! I have never been in a car that felt so perfect to me. Too bad I'm so poor. Though the value of the Dino is steadly on the rise, I don't think Roy will trade me. Unless I can convince him the value of owning a couple mighty fine horses too! Heck I'd even throw in a few bails of hay and a couple chickens to boot!! How can he resist a deal like that??? Cheers!
Not sure about the horses...BUT the chickens, keep half of them to lay eggs and the others I can eat YUM YUM...getting close...got any pigs??
We had a black one at the Italian Concours back in 2003: http://www.italianconcours.org/Files/2003gallery/pages/2003ICDE206.htm http://www.italianconcours.org/Files/2003gallery/pages/2003ICDE205.htm Mike
I would love to know where you could get a F512M for $127,742. They are selling around $195K. Check out this web site. http://www.auto-corsa.com/inventory/nov06-ferrari-512m-red/index.htm
Sounds like you should get together with this guy: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=137483127#post137483127
Yes, they go cheap at Kenmores sales but look at the paperwork you get with a seizure car. I also am an auctioneer and we sell them for the city of Portland and Seattle. Seizure cars are a real hassle to get titled and or with a clean title. See you at the auction though, probably would have sold cheap as this is not his customer base, but now thta everyone knows about it , hopefully it sells higher. Marshall Service has no reserved bid so it will go as cheap as someone let's it go. Have a great day on the westside.
OK, now that the beans are spilled.... Good luck bidding on March 22nd! http://www.murphyauctions.net/ferrari08mar.html
