I have recently gotten into cigars (with in the last year or so). Just the other day I recived a box of my favorite cigars as a gift, a box of Perdomo Estate Seleccion Vintage 1991 and I got a box of 20! yay!!
    http://perdomocigars.com/estateseleccion.html

Well I dont think I can smoke them before they dry out and in all honesty I dont think I want to, so by that standard I need a Humidor but I am a total noob when it comes to humidors so I need some help. I dont need a 1,000 cigar humidor just a 20-30 cigar humidor would be perfect and I dont really want to spend more than say $75. Obviously I want to avoid the cheapo humidors however I wont need a top of the line one either. So HELP!!

    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel

bargainhumidors.com is known to have decent stuff. This place has been suggested http://www.lynncigars.com/humidor.htm too.

if you go to cigarweekly.com and go into the forums you can look around in "the cedar room" section. There are threads discussing humidors. If you do a search you will find a lot.

I went to my local shop that I deal with and they had one that had been used for a while. It is a nice large desktop that I picked up for $25. If you have a local mom and pop shop I would check there first.

With the humidor will come a humidification device that you put PG solution in. The fluid comes pre-mixed.

Silica bead humidification devices are much better as they regulate the humidity by releasing and absorbing. I use "the puck" from www.cigarmony.com

I forgot to add that the silica beads only require distilled water.

If you like, you can send the cigars to me and I will store them for you--thus, saving you the expense of a humidor!:)
    Perdomos are a great smoke.

Those must be the full-flavored ones with lots of 'body'.

Thompson Cigar Company has quite a few humidors that are pretty nice, in particular I bought this one:

    http://www.thompsoncigar.com/default.aspx?sid=onay1g55n25a1p45t1cuch55&page=product&sender=rightside&qtype=best&uid=584

They'll include a selection of 4 different cigars; all pretty worthless BUT they do serve as good filler for the humidor which serve as a "base" to help maintain a steady moisture content. Much like a refrigerator full of jugs of water, the bulk of tobacco leaves (once properly moist) will kinda help keep things more stable.

I like the glass top and the external humidity guage, it also holds quite a nice selection and the wood finish is quite elegant. For the price, tough to beat!

If you want I can give you my 100 cnt. for free. I have pictures and what not if you would like, shoot me a private message if you are interested. It is a Cuban Crafters humidor by the way, so I don't know how that stacks up to others to be quite honest with you but it worked well for the 6 or so months that I used it.

Don't cheap out on humidors, you don't need a $1,000 Eli Bleu but you do want to ge a quality cedar humidor. Follow the link to Daniel Marshall's Ambiente line, they are very well made and priced within reason. At least they were ~ 6 years ago when I got mine. Also, unless you are looking for a travel humidor, it will be wise to buy a 50-capacity humidor for home or office. Trust me, you will need to buy anther one soon if you start with something smaller.
