Because most of the time, all of his competitors had inferior cars, sometimes vastly inferior. He wouldn't have those records if everyone else had the very same Ferrari, would he? This seems quite elementary, why didn't you pick up on it?

Yeah, but remember Bennetton and Ferrari were pretty inferior before Micheal drove for them. They started winning once he came on board.

I guess testing, testing, testing and many, many, many hours working with his engineers had nothing to do with the superior car. All the records are results of hard work that HE did. He is the greatest.

Very true even the great Senna was not as good a Schumacher was at getting the whole team on his side and striving for 110%, 100% of the time.

Please dont take my word's as dissing Senna I loved him but his personality was far different than Michael's. He was a superb individual but his intense personality, only due to his desire to be the best, was not remotely close to Michael's gregarious personality. God thinking about what Ayrton could have achieved if not for that fatefull day in '94 will alway's leave my glass half empty and not half full.

Don't worry Gregg I wasn't coming down on you. I was just touching on the many, many discussions that have been had regarding MS building of the team around him while in comparison Senna just got in and drove.

While MS isn't a favorite driver of mine I'm not blind to his staggering achievement, both on the track and in the back offices of Ferrari.

    1. He wasn't as good as Michael (what you wanted to hear)

    2. He was the contracted number 2.

Rubens does have more than a few wins. If you honestly think that Michael would have the same record if everyone had the same car as him, especially in 2002 and 2004, then there is no debating with you. This isn't an insult towards Michael, because he is brilliant, it's just a fact.

Amazing how most of these threads turn into Schumacher vs. Senna.
I hope that you all will soon realize that Raikkonen is the greatest of all.

:) No, most turn into Raikkonen vs. Massa for the No 1 seat.

I figure that Kimi will get pole, fastest lap, lead every lap, and get the win in every race for the next 5 years.

    Tell that to Honda.

Senna was as instrumental to Honda as Schumacher was to Ferrari.
