I've exchanged email with Verell on making the plastic donut that fits over the wheel nut socket. If yours is like mine, it's in two pieces (or missing, tossed by a PO).

Verell has a good one for a mold, so I'm trying to drum up enough interest for him to make a run.

The attached picture shows the part I'm talking about. These were used in the Modial and 308 jack kits. I don't know about the 328 or others.

I haven't had a chance to estimate costs yet. Need to look at the mold design & figure yields. Give me a couple of weeks, this is my busy season & I'm backed up with current orders.

I just looked at my 328 jack, I think it may be different to the 308 jack. The plastic hand wheel is attached to the jack itself (rather than the extension handle) and is not easily removed.
My jack is in excellent condition, I expect it has never been used.

Mine is missing also. I'd take one for the right price. BTW, anyone know what it was for?

It's a hand wheel for quickly spinning the lugs out after the wrench breaks them loose, at least how I use it....

Same thing in reverse upon reassembly....

Making the mold is moving up on my list, looks like I'll get to the mold by mid March.

Unless it proves a real problem to cast, it'll probably be around $40.

I'm overseas at the moment, but I'll check my jack kit when I get home. If mine's missing, I'll order one as well.

I checked my jack and the plastic wheel is in perfect condition. Verell, do you need one to construct your sample part?

    Hmm,
While mine is in pristine condition, if I had a 2nd one, I could make 2 at a time which would help keep the cost down.

So, yes' I'd like to borrow it for a couple of weeks.

    Hello Greg,
That's a different thumbwheel from mine, or else the design changed over the years!!!

Could that be a 328 jack (See GXI328's post earlier in this thread).

I never looked to see if my thumbwheel would also fit onto the jack. However, since the ratchet wrench fits both fittings, I suspect it would. If so, then I think there must have been a design change at aome point. My thumbwheel looks quite a bit heavier than yours.

    It's a 308QV jack; same as mine.

I need the nylon piece behind the thumbwheel, though it looks like the top nut of the 2 on the jack, is welded to to the shaft.

Does anyone know if the nylon bushing can be replaced?

No the hex on the jack is much larger than the shaft drive that fits into the ratchet.

The hex on the shaft drive is smaller....

Greg, your jack appears OEM to me as the rest of it is the same...maybe they just reworked the drive part assemblies?

I have all my thumbwheels, V. if no one else can help.....
