http://www.looptard.com/weird_videos_Ferrari_working_model.html fully working scale model. Hope this hasn't been posted before. This guy is scary detail oriented.
I too, can watch that over and over again. I wonder if he started on his next model. What an insane amount of effort that gentleman invested in that car. cheers ken
my bad. When I did a search on 'scale model' I got a billion hits all about die cast, and toy cars. I searched on 'looptard' (the hosting site) and didn't get any.
Don't know if this is a repost, but if it is, it is worth repeating. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTKj6F_Qq1U Stephen
I remember a while ago becoming quite moved by a engineer who built his own working scale Ferrari, fully functioning engine and all. I remember it taking him over a decade to build if I remember correctly. The video also said that he was planning a second car... So what ever happened to this brilliant man's masterpeice? Was he ever recognized by Ferrari? Is the second one in development? Did the Ferrari Gods reward him with a real life, driveable Ferrari? When someone tells you you'll never be able to own or have your own working Ferrari, talk about the ultimate "F-You" attitude. Any updates?
'The Guy' being Pierre Scerri. .... Umpteen threads about him on this forum - or re-posts on the subject of his 1:3 scale 312PB. See: http://www.mps-sportproto.com/en/historique.php and http://www.mps-sportproto.com/en/actualites.php Pierre is currently working on a 1:3 scale P4. Yes him. A master artist in his own right. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxYRa0pqxlw And yes, I know there have been a couple of threads a while back, but this there was a lot of talk about him selling it, building a new one, etc and it was never touched upon.
Here's one about him displaying his 1:3 312PB at a model engineering exhibition in Toledo, OH last year: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=144708 and some photos here: http://www.mps-sportproto.com/en/actualites.php
