I was in an Italian Rest. in Wilmington NC and the guy had the massive black and white picture of a 330 P3/4 or 412P on the wall.

I have searched everywhere for this photo.

It was set at possibly Le Mans or on some street where the street was brick if I remember correctly and there was a British Flag or Union Jack hanging from a flag pole in the back ground.

I was taken in a town and not on a track.

Anybody have any idea where I might find this? All the manager could tell was the owner bought the picture in England.

For a moment, I thought you might be referring to this FCA Monterey 2004 poster:

That is one excellent shot too.

It is pretty similar but the P4 is coming towards you, not going away and the car had a number but I can't remember which one.

Well you've really got me scratching my head, Chad. Further thoughts are that it might have been a photo of a P4 replica (more likely on the streets of England - in town). But then if it is a B&W photo, then it's more likely to be a real one photographed in the late 60's.
And a Union Jack flag fluttering in the background ? Something to do with Goodwood / British GP / BOAC 500 at Brands Hatch or Maranello Concessionaires. Who knows ?

The race number on the car's nose would certainly help.

This image posted by Doug Nye on the AtlasF1 Nostalgia forum, taken by the late Jabby Crombac at the BOAC 500 in 1967 ....

.... meets some of your criteria - but obviously is taken at a track - Brands Hatch. Photo copyright the Grand Prix Library ©.

I'll call the place and see if they can tell me the number of the car. Thanks for your help!!

I don't know if it was actaully during a race either as there are no other cars in the picture

If the number turns out to be #230 or #224 it could of course be #0846 on the Targa Florio in '66 or '67 ....

.... but I can't think of any photos where the villagers were hanging Union Jacks from their balconies !

I believe the photo below was taken by the late Geoff Goddard, and hence would be copyright the Grand Prix Library ©.

Paul - Wow, I'm in amazement as I think that might be the picture. maybe I added the union jack in my head but it seems like it is from that same race by looking at the background.

How do I go about getting a high-res version of that and is there more in this series?

    Thanks again!!!!

But it isn't B&W either, Chad. Oh well - call it a 'lucky break', anyway ! ;)

You'll probably find (IIRC) plenty more photos of P3/4 #0846 on the Targa Florio (as N° 230 in '66 and N° 224 in '67) in this thread:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69585

.... and Yes - there are 'lots more in the series'. Hopefully DCN will chime in later this evening. ;)

Again I believe the photo below was taken by the late Geoff Goddard, and hence would be copyright the Grand Prix Library ©.

I have search high and low for these photos in high resolution and the Grand Prix Library site looks like it is no longer maintained. Does anyone know where I can get these in high resultion so I can get one blown up for a large canvas type photo?
