Does anyone here own one? Are you please with it, any problems, etc...? I like the idea of wifi on the go & many places now offer a free signal. I thought this might be a good way to check my email & browse the web on the go. I'm thinking out buying one but I'd like to hear from the owners first.

I have one and its quite handy, especially with the new Maps and stuff. Battery life is decent, web is pretty good, I wouldn't use it everyday though.

Do you have any specific questions?

Same here. I bought one a couple of days ago. I like it, but as 13 year old said, i dont use it for everyday use. I have the new nano that gets the job done when im running or at the gym. I would get one though, its neat.

I think I'd use it for web browsing & video, I like the map feature as well, not sure which version to get yet. 16GB or the new 32GB? The 8GB would be way too small storage for my needs. I've only been able to play with it at Best Buy but the thing is bolted to the counter, I could get a feel for the touch screen plus other people have had their grubby finger prints all over it & their myspace pages bookmarked.

I already have a ipod 30GB Video that I bought last year after my 1st gen Nano died. I've filled it up about halfway with various movies & music. I just like the idea of web access in your pocket without paying extra for it.

Why don't you buy a 16 or 32GB iPod Touch and then get the 1GB Shuffle if you work out or just want something for a walk... The 1GB shuffles are now $50.

As said before, any questions I'd be happy to answer. The Youtube is also very good on the iPod, I use that the most.

16Gb here. WiFi is decent, but trust me. Unless you live in an area that has hot spots, it won't cut it. Web Browsing, YouTube, Maps, etc., it's all very good, but most of it needs that WiFi which can be a pain when you can't get a signal.

But, it is a good time waster, and folks who have Jailbroken models, such as myself, are always working towards figuring out how to access WiFi, and certain applications on an easier level.

I have the 32GB version and use it everyday....music/audio books in the car. I use it as a PDA quite a bit. I think it is decent for the webstuff so i can check email etc. Living in a metro area, i find hot spots often enough to make it work for me.

I have a 1gb shuffle for the gym, I've had it since the fall of last year. So far I enjoy that as well but don't use it much. Right now it loaded with nothing but metal & punk. As for the touch I might go with the 16gb because my 30gb video has about 11gb ob it right now. Honestly there is not much more of my limited collection I could put on it. I live in an area that has lots of hot spots so access would not be an issue. Thanks for everyones input.

I'd do that but I'm not a fan of AT&T, besides I'm under contract with Sprint until April 2009 & currently I don't have any issues with them. The only gripe I have with the Touch is no camera function, that is one thing Apple should have included.

Sprint? They had more than $1 million people jump ship last year...

I've had At&t for 5 years and it works fine. IMO, all the cell networks are the same.

I'm still not getting the iphone, not a masochistic EDGE network fan. Remember this is a Touch discussion. Besides the iphone will not work with my peripheral ipod to car conversion kit, I will not be able to use it as a phone if it's plugged into my car as a music player.
