Does horse power count?:D
And to think someone in the general automotive forum was complaining about a Porsche with 11 badges on it
Agree w/ Julio - it was a little different backin the day. my 1968 365GT2+2 has: one on the nose one on the grille one on the telaio plate one on the horn one on each of the 3-eared knock-offs = 8 my 1955 500 Mondial has one on the nose one on the horn one on the telaio plate one on each of the two SF decals the factory applied for the '55 GP of Venezuela as a works entry = 5
OOPS. Forgot 2 more! Under the front bonnet, there are a total of 3 Cavallinos... 1 on each of the CD changer cover fasteners. so that brings the total up to 73! plus 2 F430's to think that the car says what it is in some fashion 75 times is mind boggling. This number of course does not count labels and such under dash, under the car on suspension and on engine that you can't see until you start taking stuff apart.
When Ford was building "Jeeps" under contract from Willy's plans, Hank made sure every tire, nut, screw, washer, wire, and any other part had the Ford Script "F" on it. That is any part/component that was not a liquid. They say he did it so Ford would not have to cover ANY warrenty work of the other Jeep Builders, Willys and Bantam. But it was also for the billboard that he got to put in front of every GI and liberated country around the globe. It actually surprised me that the 308gt4 did not have more Horsey's on its parts, but the brakepads cleary had Motorcraft by Ford stamped on the back.
Did anybody count the two 'shields' or is that too obvious? Is the horse on the key part of the car? (It won't run properly w/o it) Do you count the horse on the car cover that comes with the car?
In my post, I mentioned all of the above. Yes to the scuderia shields Yes to the key and yes to the Car cover bag..... if you count the car cover itself, seat covers and steering wheel cover as well as the battery charger bag or case(depending on which you have) there are definitely more.
yes, on a F430 a tire pump is supplied.... built into that 'pump' is the fix a flat stuff. The Word ferrari is on the case of this item and mounted to the front wall of the F430 under the bonnet. and yes, I counted it.
can't believe no one commented on the ultra hidden cavallino.... I was in shock when I found that one on the back of the rear view mirror!
Were you referring to me and my observation of "The Porsche That Said PORSCHE Seven Times"? Not complaining at all -- just poking fun at! . . . . kind of like the guys who put shields on their fenders, and install bright yellow valve stem caps with little black horses on them . . . HEY EVERYBODY, LOOOOK AT MEEEEE! I'M IN A FERRARI, YES, A FERRARI, IN CASE YOU DIDN'T NOTICE!
Probably, it was a while ago. Seven Eleven, either way still way less than 71. Its more than a little absurd.
