    Hi all,

    I think I might already know the answer to this question, but are you able to use a cabriolet at club track days, driving school events?

    To run in a FCA event, "Convertibles must have roll over protection (360 and 430 Spiders are acceptable - pop up roll bars are not)." - From the EmpireStateRegion.com website. This also pertains to the Annual FCA events.

    This is also true at many tracks, such as LimeRock, Pocono, and Watkins Glen, regardless of what club/organization is sponsoring the event.

    So it sounds like a Mondial cab would be out unless someone had roll bars fabricated and installed in the car somehow.

    I've seen Mondial Cabs on the track with roll bars. Check with Classic Coach in Elizabeth, NJ 908-352-3939.

    At most tracks, that is true. Generally, tracks don't want convertibles running without roll bars. It's all about roll-over protection. There are some companies around that specialize in fabricating and installing roll bars. It's possible to get a removable/bolt-in roll bar made that would allow you to put the bar in for track days and remove it for the remainder of your driving. A good roll bar is not cheap, but then, how much is your life worth?
