I was thinking about this last week when the quake in Nevada happened.

Haven't there been at least 10 quakes this year around the globe, a fair number of them in Indonesia.

For some reason I had a bad feeling earlier this year about a MAJOR quake happening somewhere. Now there's been a ton of fairly strong earthquakes. Just makes me think.

They are not just in Indonesia lately even though many lately have been in that area, there was one last week in Nevada also. Are they Mayans right about 2012?

I believe in Global Warming and that we should do something about it. And even if we aren't the cause of it, we should still do as much as we can to reduce the pollution we cause, b/c it still can't be good to ruin our own envt.

However, I don't believe Global Warming can cause Earthquakes... unless the melting of the polar caps affects the plates somehow. I can't think of any other way though... I'm also not a scientist :)

Are Exxon drilling near there anywhere?
They were the cause for the Taiwan quake that killed 240,000+ people :0

Don't worry I just heard that the earth will be drawn into the suns orbit and be destroyed in 7.6 Billion years. So I won't sweat about 2012. Also if you want to get a reading on earthquack status go talk to Al Whore. He knows.

it's kinda pitiful actually. they're my neighboring country, and the location of the country is pretty terrible. right in the centre of the 'line of fire'. full of quakes and volcanoes.

IMO, Indonesia shouldn't be a country at all. should be a wild place for animals. the quakes and volcanoes are one of the reason it's so hard to develop the country. and it's sad reading so many fishermen, farmers, lose everything each time this sorta thing happens.

Yeah. I'd be willing to bet they were the cause. Of course you'll never hear them say that. Imagine the lawsuit. "whoops, we killed over 200,000 people"

Yeah we wouldn't want them to have to give up a $50 Billion dollar quarter profit.
