What in the world does that taste like? Isn't woodchuck a fruity beer?

I may give it a try. I love some black and tans.

I ordered snakebite shots last time I was out and they were disguisting! I don't know if it was because the bartender didn't make it well or I just plain don't like it but it was horrible.

I'm not familiar with Woodchuck but Guiness is a pretty heavy beer. Why wouldn't it be poured in first? Wouldn't it sink to the bottom?

Or you could brew your own, we've got a local brewery here where you can try your hand at on-premises brewing, I've got a Belgian double triple in their fridge that gets bottled in two weeks. http://www.brewsouth.com/

Dear oh dear - a defender of real ale, warm beer! One of the reasons I'm happy to no longer be living in blighty is the inability of the country to refrigerate beer properly.

Personally I'd take Sapporo direct from the brewery in Japan. Unfortunately now most Sapporo you get is from Canada if you are in the US and the Czech republic if you are in the EU. My fave two US beers are Anchor Steam and Magic Hat.

That Miller Chill made me want to throw up. Off the first sip, I could feel a nasty hangover beginning.

Gotta say my favourite is from Canada's Big Rock. They make some great brew. Pale Ale and Grasshopper. Kokanee Gold is pretty good for a darker lager. Alexander Keiths is good. Of course, Coors Light isn't bad.

A "proper" beer might be from Europe (Germany, Belgium, etc), but if you want a GOOD beer just come to the epicenter of microbrews: Portland, OR (or Seattle).

No offense to the rest of the country, but GOOD GOD when I travel I'm blown away by the utter lack of variety and quality of beers east of the Rockies. Sure we have your precious Sam Adams and Coors/Bud/Miller, but if you want a massive variety of craft beers, look no further.
IPA, pales, pilsners, porters, stouts, I can't even name them all..... pick your poison!

That's two things we in Portland have disproportionate amount of: brewers/brewpubs and nudie bars (makes for an excellent combo, btw).
