    The article can be summed up in one sentence: British police has, in cooperation with their colleagues from Italy, searched the houses of Ron Dennis, Martin Whitmarsh and other MCL officials in the context of the Stepneygate investigation.

    I wonder what they hoped to find, more than half a year after the actual events...

    Sounds like they are just trying to harass them now, I don't think any of them would be stupid enough to leave any incriminating evidence laying around.

    I cant imagine they could even consider doing a search without good probable cause. These guys arent Rodney Kings or the clown living down the street, these guys are big fish with big fish lawyers. You wouldnt want to step on thier toes unless you had your ducks all in a row, would you?

    It wasn't so much as a search as private meetings with the individuals, don't forget the Italians have wanted to meet with a number of people from McLaren and haven't been able to. I suspect a lot of that comes down to the insane schedules any F1 employees have leading up to and during the season. I'm guessing the Italians just said, "Well if they can't come to us, we'll go to them." Interview them at their homes and have a nice look around. FWIW they've also visited the McLaren headquarters.
