Just last week, I was asking if comprehensive insurance was to cover some repairs on his car, but he coughed up the money, and fixed it himself.
    continuing his horrible luck,

We've been having snow for the last few days here in Maine, and my cousin, by accident, left the driver's side front and driver's back window in his 03 Saab 9-3 open. It snowed about 6 inches on Wednesday, and basically there's snow in his car. So the carpet it soaked, his audio system doesn't work, but the water on the seats has been cleaned. (It's snowing again now, but the windows are closed :)

I looked under the driver's seat at the audio amplifier, and it's already rusting! because the carpet is wet. I think it is short circuiting. That part itself is over a thousand to replace, then there's labor for that. (Saab's aren't cheap to maintain. cheap to buy though)

If he was to pay his deductible ($250) for comprehensive coverage, and report it to the insurance company, would he be covered?
    Would his premiums go up?

Why don't you have him call the insurance company and ask them.

Probably cheaper to put in a aftermarket stereo system.

Not sure about his policy specifically, but most comp policy's only cover factory installed items.

I'm calling bulls***. Quit trying to correct a badly bought car by filing insurance claims.

In that thread you mentioned that your cousin's car was a flood car. Any wonder why the audio amp doesn't work, and there's "already" rust under the seat?

If this car has a flood title, I'm surprised he was able to get a comp. policy in the first place.

Why on earth would you roll the driver side front and back windows down in Maine, in February? And then, how do you "forget" to roll them back up?

Unless you didn't forget, and parked on the street so the snowplows would fill the car with snow as they drove by.

+1, if your cousin is old enough to drive, and own a car, and purchase insurance, why does he rely on his younger cousin to obtain insurance information from teh intarweb, and not call his insurance agent?

can't. the POS Saab uses fiber-optics. No audio specialist here will touch it.

It's a salvage title. I'm wondering the same thing. Maybe his company didn't look at the car's history?
