Only 33 entries but, WOW what a driver line-up for Risi #62, the three Flying Lizards, P2 - (5) RS Spyders, the three GT1 entries and the addition of another P1 diesel. Ferrari Factory drivers and Porsche Factory drivers. Here's a link to the list: http://www.imsaracing.net/2008/events/sebring/2008%20ALMS%20Sebring%20Entries.pdf

If you aren't headed there, Speed TV is having like 11 hours of the event and www.imsaracing.net will have Hindy doing live commentary and have live timing.

Still debating if I should head down. I'm glad the one Aston is showing up to make GT1 a race. GT2 looks exciting as always. I haven't seen the Ford GT-R yet. I also haven't seen the DBRS 9 run the GT2 class. And the 430's are always beautiful.

P1 is looking like less of a snore than last year with the 908 showing up. Would love to see that unique car in person. And Radical is showing up with a P1 contender? Is this their first race? If you like rooting for a little guy amongst giants here is your team. And P2 looks to be possibly the most exciting class. Two great platforms in the Porsche and Acura; 5 pcars and 3 Acuras should make for a great battle.

Hard not to go. Need to work on getting one of my roommates to head down with me. None of them are car guys.

Good to see Australian GT Champion Allan Simonsen getting his USA debut. He is impressive, 3rd at Le Mans last year on debut. A young man who has had to get there the hard way.

Don't forget the factory Peuguot that is supposed to be there. Did I spell Peuguot correctly?

The Aston will be full season - that's wonderful - let's just hope that when they beat the Vettes we don't have a replay of a couple years ago. The Ford GT-R will be a backmarker. Having seen the 908's run in a couple races, yes they are unique and are louder than the Audi's. UK team ECO is entered with their Radical - a bio-diesel with Ben Collins, Harri Toivonen and Simon Wright as the drivers. Interesting is that the race engineer for ECO, Ian Dawson raced the first bio-diesel at Le Mans two years ahead of Audi. Intersport is also racing green this year using E85R as is Corvette and the Aston GT2 entry. The fuel tank capacity is 105 liters vs. 90 liters (for those not running this fuel). P2 does promise to be most exciting - I look for Horag (RS Spyder) (Freddy Lienhard/Didier Theys/Jan Lammers) and Barazi-Epsilon (Zytek) to really give Penske a hard time. Freddy and Didier ran the MC12 in a couple ALMS races last season. Both Horag and Barazi run LMS - a series with tremendous competition in all four classes and an entry total of 55 cars!

Phil, you're welcome! You need to go to Salt Lake City to see one of the races!!
