Ive been pushin the sidekicks ever since the very first sidekick with the Black and white screen, and upgraded to the sidekick III 2 months before it came out to the public last June, was in the tmobile store the other day and bought another razor for my business phone as my other broke, but noticed a little display of the tmobile dash. Anybody have one of these, thinking of buying one before the week ends, good or bad? should I keep the Sidekick III???

    Any input would be great

    Thanks'
    Charlie

I just got the dash last weekend. I dont text message much so the sidekick sucked for me. I do love the Dash. I especially like the WIFI. Just so you know though, T-zones DOES not work on the Dash. You can only access Tmobiles website through it. When I called customer service to find out why on T-zones I don't see all the other options, she told me thats how that phone is. I refuse to pay another 20 or 30 bucks for complete internet so that part is worthless to me. I asked the lady why would anyone pay ANYTHING to access your site for a monthly fee when they can just call you for free and ask questions....her response was a Laugh and said you're right.
All in all, great phone, easy to use, wifi works great, camera is very good and the sound is very clear(a problem with Sidekicks). I would recommend but it depends on your needs.

    heh...Dont like the Dash.

I decided to go with the Blackberry Pearl...That thing is just so sleek and sexy and is everything a full size pda would be, just smaller and compact...

Love the phone, already use to it, except for the stupid ass placement of the volume buttons, right next to where your hands go, other than that....love it

sorry to bump this thread, but i'm getting ready to get my dash in a couple of days. i'm switching from sprint to t-mobile, and the deal i got worked out will make the price on the phone virtually unbeatable, and i'm looking forward to actually having a nice phone, as compared to living with the cheap phones i've had in the past.

I've got a Dash, I hate it. It's slow and it crashes. If I do anything it decides to sync the entire damn contact list rather than just individual contacts.

I've done the WM6 upgrade and ActiveSync updates. I wish I could've had my T610 back, at least I didn't have to pay for that phone!

Once the iPhone is unlockable, I'm just going to get that.

    I have a Dash with WM6.
    I hate it.
I want an iPhone so badly, even for the visual voicemail feature alone!

I don't really pick up my phone that often, I ask friends to leave voicemails. It's a lot faster for me and I can just imagine what visual voicemail would be like.

well, the blackberry pearl is a nice little phone. we went through sams, (my mom works there) and she cut a deal with the manager about a month before we made the switch. long story short, the manager wound up quitting, we were left in a limbo trying to get the same deal, but wound up getting the pearl paid for, so that's what i wound up with. however, i'm still on craigslist and other places daily to try to find a trade for the dash.

    Love the thing,
thought about getting the wing, for touch screen purpose, but decided not to.
I do know for a fact HTC (company who makes dash) will be coming out with a better phone by Feb 2008, probley will buy that once I get access to it.

well, it's looking like tomorrow i'll be trading with someone for the t-mobile mda, although it's now the older version, replaced by the wing, it's got everything i want, in other words, everything the pearl doesn't have. does anyone have any experiences with this phone?

i've liked it, it grips well, it's a solid phone, it's definitely nice having windows on the phone. however, with the office program installed on it, on my old phone (the t-mobile mda) i could actually use the office programs and create word docs, ppt docs and excel docs, however, with the dash, i can only load them onto the phone and view them. that's the major downside. the wi-fi is the fastest of any phone with the capability i've used has been, it's nice having the full keyboard, but i still am hitting different buttons with my stubby fingers, :)
overall, i'd give it an 8/10, but it has been the best phone of the 3 "pda" phones i've had, the mda, the pearl, and this. i'm trying to get a curve next, the only difference between that and the dash, other than the styling (i still get the full keyboard, which is the main reason i got rid of the pearl, i couldn't stand the double tapping) is the different operating system. other than that, exactly the same.
people say the dash crashes a lot, runs slow sometimes, etc. it hasn't crashed on me yet, (knock on wood) but every now and then it'll run a little slower than normal, but not pull out my hair kind of slow. i would definitely recommend it to anyone, however, i'm interested in seeing what the new model of the dash will look like, i've heard it's due out within the next year, so may be better off waiting.

Scott how does IE work for you? Mine works pretty well on some websites but on other ones it just screws it up, putting pictures over text or just large gaps. Do you have this problem? I only have WiFi not the data plan.

i know what your talking about, i haven't really had that problem though. i check my yahoo email, my school email, and news, ferrarichat as well, but have never had that happen. one of these days it'll be just as good as the laptop i'm working on right now, but that's still a couple years down the road.
